Today we honor the sacrifices of the men and women who gave everything for our country. Heroes in every sense of the word, they believed in something bigger than themselves. They believed the United States of America was worth fighting for.

The salt air on the beach can be RELENTLESS! There is always something to keep us busy at Slaycation.

That’s why we’re so thankful to partner with Joe Lamb Jr. & Associates to help ensure everything is not only up to our standards and theirs — but most importantly SAFE for every guest.

Today around 3pm, their weekly inspector noticed a railing had worked loose, likely from the storms we’ve had recently. Less than two hours later, RCI Custom Construction Inc. had the old railing removed and a brand new, rock-solid one installed so our guests could move in on time with zero interruptions or delays.

It takes a great local team to keep a beach house running, and we’re incredibly grateful for ours.

Pool days, grill nights, and a fully stocked setup approved by our toughest critic, Margaux. ☀️🏖️🍔

One of our favorite parts of Slaycation is that you don’t have to choose between beach time and pool time. Spend the morning by the ocean, come back for an afternoon swim, fire up the grill, and settle in while the kids wear themselves out one more time before sunset.

And for those occasional OBX weeks with a little chill in the air… the pool can be heated too. 🔥

From pool toys and floats to lounge chairs and grilling space, we try to think through the little things that make family vacations easier, more relaxing, and a lot more fun.

This is one of the coolest announcements we could imagine making! Slaycation has officially been selected to host a live streaming we**am as part of the America250 national celebration! America250 commemorates the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Partnering with EarthCam, a limited number of locations across the country were chosen to showcase the places and communities that help tell America’s story, and we’re incredibly honored to represent Kitty Hawk — the birthplace of flight!

Starting today, you can check in on the ocean, dunes, and beach road anytime, from anywhere. Whether you’re counting down till your next trip or just wanting to watch a summer storm roll in, we hope this brings a small piece of Slaycation to you wherever you are.
