🍂 Introducing Beaver Creek Sundays! 🛶

For the rest of the fall, we’re highlighting one of our favorite local paddles — Beaver Creek in Hardin Valley!

We’ll be posted up at the Hardin Valley Event Center over the next few Sundays, running paddles from the Karns Adaptive Dock at the Rugby Center back to our private takeout at Hardin Valley Event Center.

It’s a great way to explore a different side of Knoxville, enjoy the cooler fall weather, and experience the Knox County Water Trail from the water. 🍁

Football season may be here, but that doesn’t mean it’s time to head inside! Fall is one of the best times of the year to paddle, bike, and explore East Tennessee—and we’re here for it.

🌅 Tonight’s Sunset Paddle is a special one.

East Tennessee lost one of its brightest lights this week with the passing of Dolly Parton—a global icon who never stopped representing the heart, generosity, humor, and mountain values of East Tennessee to the world.

Tonight, the City of Knoxville will light the Henley Street Bridge in her honor for the final night of a three-night tribute. We can’t think of a better way to remember Dolly than gathering on the Tennessee River, watching the sun go down and seeing the bridge shine in her honor.

Come paddle with us tonight, celebrate a true East Tennessee legend, and be part of a beautiful tribute from the water. ❤️🌄🛶

🚣 LOCK THROUGH A DAM IS BACK!

Join Knoxville Adventure Collective this Sunday, August 30th at 2 PM for one of our most unique paddling adventures of the year! Paddle into Fort Loudoun Lock, experience the massive gates closing behind you, lock down more than 70 feet, and then paddle out onto the Tennessee River for the short trip to our takeout.

It’s an incredible chance to experience this feat of engineering from the seat of a kayak — definitely not your everyday paddle!

☀️ Beat the East Tennessee heat with one of Knoxville’s best hidden gems!

The Beaver Creek section of the Knox Water Trail is in fantastic shape right now, with great water flows and a cool, relaxing ride through the heart of Hardin Valley.

This scenic 2-hour float begins in Karns and winds its way through a beautiful, mostly shaded corridor before finishing at the Hardin Valley Event Center. It’s the perfect adventure for families, friends, first-time paddlers, or anyone looking to escape the summer heat and enjoy the outdoors.

Introducing the first edition of our Knoxville Field Guide.

This has been a labor of love—built from a whole lot of belief in this city. We created this guide to showcase what makes Knoxville special: the places, the people, and the energy you feel when you’re here.

This first edition is just the beginning. It’s our attempt to capture the spirit of Knoxville in a way that feels real, local, and worth sharing.

We’re incredibly grateful for all of the partners and contributors who helped bring this to life. And most of all, we appreciate the people who show up every single day and make Knoxville the kind of place others want to be.

Go explore. This city has a lot to offer. We will spread ‘em around town.

We’re fired up to team up with Hardin Valley Event Center to bring you a new highlight of the Knox Water Trail on Beaver Creek 🌿🚣‍♂️

This 3-mile meandering paddle winds through one of the most beautiful stretches of water in Hardin Valley — peaceful, scenic, and perfect for a laid-back adventure.

We’ve got you covered with a secure takeout at Hardin Valley Event Center and a short shuttle to the put-in, making it an easy 1.5–2 hour trip from start to finish.

We kick things off tomorrow, so come paddle with us and then stick around to enjoy the farmer’s market under the pavilion afterwards.

Spots are open — come experience a new side of Knoxville.
