A screen door isn’t just a beautiful addition to your home. It’s a bid for connection with your neighbors. A reminder of your childhood. A breath of fresh air while sitting in your comfy reading chair.
Paul was inspired by our screen doors and wrote this beautiful poem! We of course had to share it! Let us know what a screen door means to you!! We would love to know.
SCREEN DOORS
Right on down the road from me in Knoxville Tennessee, Is a woodshop making doors that you just got to see.
And if you are a boomer you remember how
A screen door gave the feeling hard to find right now.
So in a world where doors are locked the threat outside might say.
You ought to feel uneasy of how things are today.
I wouldn’t try to tell you this door is made for all, But if you like aroma that has the smell of fall,
You might consider going back to meet the past
Where you befriended neighbors and screens help make them last.
And on this door’s a place that has a heartfelt plan
Delivering a point of view of what you understand.
