Brethren, this coming Tuesday, May 19th, by order of the Worshipful Master, there will be no practice. Please keep WM Kyle in your prayers as he has a procedure that day. We will resume work / practice on May 26th.

Brethren: practice tonight on 3rd degree. Meal will be sandwich spreads, chips and dessert. It's WM Kyle's birthday so come out and wish him a Happy Birthday.

Brethren: Reminder we have 2 important events this week. Tomorrow, April 7th, is our annual official visit from our new Grand Lecturer, Marcus Duncan. Stationed officers (WM and Wardens), coat and tie. Other officers, business casual dress (golf shirts fine....no shorts, jeans with holes, tank tops, etc.).

Saturday, April 11th, is our Pancake Breakfast fundraiser, open 8am - 10am. Volunteers to prepare, serve and cleanup always appreciated. Those wanting to help prepare should be at the Lodge no later than 6am. Servers and cleanup can come later 😆

Bro. Matthew Schlosshan P.M. has been installed as the Worshipful Grand Marshal for the Grand Lodge of Tennessee for the upcoming year. This distinction makes him the second member from Burlington Lodge to hold a Grand Office, following in the footsteps of our late brother A. Tom Hudgens P.M., who served as Grand Sword Bearer in 1999. Please join us in congratulating Bro. Matt on this great honor. We are confident that he will represent Burlington Lodge and the state of Tennessee with dignity.

Geneva Walker, wife of former Grand Lecturer and Shekinah Brother Jess Walker, has passed away. Please keep Jess and the family in your thoughts and prayers. The family will receive friends at Cooke-Campbell Mortuary, 220 Hwy 61 East, Maynardville, TN 37807 on Tuesday March 17th from 5-7pm. Funeral service at 7p. Graveside services will be on Wednesday March 18th, at 12:30pm at Veterans Cemetery, 200 East Gov John Sevier Hwy 168, Knoxville TN 37920.

Brethren, a few announcements from tonight's Stated Meeting I thought I would share for those that could not attend. Oriental Lodge (at the Masonic Temple downtown) is having an EA degree on Thursday (standard Masonic time), French Broad Lodge in Kodak is having a Master Mason degree next Monday (standard Masonic time). Chota (Farragut) and JC Baker (Maynardville) are both having Sweet Heart Breakfasts' on Saturday morning starting at 8am. Brother Alan Branch mentioned they have a breakfast every Thursday starting at 7:30am at Marbledale Baptist Church proceeds go to their youth fund (correct me there if I'm wrong). Last, Saturday, April 11th, Shekinah will host a Pancake Breakfast from 8am-10am to benefit our general fund. $10/person. Jeff will be printing tickets we can use to pre-sell the event.

Just spoke to WM Kyle. Jeff Lawhorn reported that the roads around the lodge are clear. It's going to hit 50 degrees tomorrow, so the current plan is to have a meal and practice at standard Masonic time. Tuesday, 2/3.
