Kula Lodge & Restaurant

Kula Lodge & Restaurant Maui’s Crown Jewel! Stunning 180° views of the island. Restaurant, lodge, and Kula Marketplace! Aloha
(2405)

Accessible, but off the beaten path, The Kula Lodge began as a private home more than 50 years ago and the tradition of hospitality remains an important part of the lodge today. At a 3200 foot elevation, the lodge sits in an exquisite terraced garden of flowers. The grounds have a panoramic view of the West Maui Mountains, the neighboring island and slopes of Haleakala. The restaurant offers progressive contemporary cuisine complemented by fresh produce grown Upcountry, seasoned with homegrown herbs and spices. Kula Lodge is a local favorite for special occasions, business parties, weddings, or a romantic sunset dinner with loved ones. Reservations are encouraged as seating is limited this summer at the Garden Terrace from 12pm-6pm daily. Thank you for thinking of us and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Hurricane Nolo is churning away to the south of Hawaiʻi, but hello and welcome to Haleakalā Silversword Watch V.2 (after we lost our first plant to Hurricane Lala)!
🌺🌸🌺🌸🌸🌺🌸🌺🌸🌺🌸🌺🌺🌸
It’s a once in a lifetime (for the plant) event, folks. ⏳.

Our Keith has been faithfully documenting the whole huge flower stalk as it emerges 🌱, blooms 🌸, and prepares to die back and release seeds 🌬️ Assuming no more hurricanes close to Maui in this El Niño season. 🤞🏽

The NEW plant and its flower stalk is still 68 inches high today, two weeks after the last measurements, and covered with blooms all the way to the very top! Happy little flies, bees and all kinds of pollinators have discovered the tower of flowers. 🐝

The summer scent of silversword blooms, ahhhhh. Still happening! 🩶🩶🩶

The comments are open for your comments, pics, stories, and questions about the plant!
