Visiting the hidden swim caves at Tennessee’s Norris Lake are just one of the fun things you can do on one the Volunteer State’s favorite places to spend time on the water! This huge lake sits in the Appalachian Mountains of East Tennessee and stretches 73 miles along the Clinch River and 56 miles up the Powell River, with nearly 800 miles of winding shoreline. All around the lake you’ll find clear blue water, rocky ledges for cliff jumping, and deep spots where people love to dive in and swim. Norris Lake is also a great place for boating, tubing, water skiing, and fishing. Many visitors spend the day cruising the lake and stopping in quiet coves where the water is calm and perfect for floating. With wide mountain views and some of the clearest water in the region, Norris Lake is one of Tennessee’s best summer lake spots.
