There are still several good sites available to reserve for the upcoming Holiday weekend! Reserve at blackhawkcountyparks.com at least five days in advance.

MyCountyParks serves the Iowa area with outdoor recreation, environmental education, and natural resource protection.

Pelicans

The pelicans are migrating back to their summer ranges now. This group was seen along the Cedar Valley Nature Trail just west of the park this morning. They were then spotted flying over the shop area this afternoon and stopped in a pond nearby.

Black Hawk County campgrounds are officially open for the season. Whether you're camping with family, casting a line, or just enjoying some fresh air, it’s a great time to get outside!

Early in the season, campsites are first-come, first-served—no reservations needed. Please note that some amenities, like water and showers, may not be available just yet.
