Two young designers put their hearts into turning this 1930s S
panish Casita into an artsy vacation destination. The Casita is filled with stylish, creative touches (including intricate carved wood headboards, artistic stained glass, authentic Mexican pottery, tile and wood furniture, an indoor cascading fountain, one-of-a-kind paintings & romantic lighting). Beautiful couches, centered around the tiled fireplace in the living room, set the stage for movie nights, board games, dinner fiestas, reading a good book, writing the next great novel or enjoying quality time with loved ones. If you are looking for some good ol' R&R, the sound of cascading water from the indoor living room fountain may lull you to sleep at siesta time! The "Suite Jardín" (the "Master Garden Suite," which overlooks the courtyard, surrounded by sunlight & plants), has a gorgeous hanging bed to rock you to sleep, flat screen TV, “Palm Leaf” Fans, numerous comfy seating areas & two workspace areas. Relax in the spa tub or take an energizing shower, surrounded by authentic Mexican tile from Dolores Hidalgo, Mexico. The “Cuarto Azul” (“Blue Bedroom”), designed around the custom-made headboard, is a relaxing retreat, which overlooks the pool patio. The intricate carved wood headboard & decorative umbrella light fixture in the “Cuarto Blanco” (“White Bedroom”), sets the tone for elegant sleeping arrangements. Cook a delicious meal (muy sabroso!) in the kitchen & let your mood decide where to enjoy it (inside at the dining table, or outside in the courtyard, poolside breakfast nook or backyard BBQ area). Outside, take advantage of the sunny desert landscape, by taking a dip in the pool, relaxing with a cold beverage on the outdoor chaise lounges, (¡Salud, amigos!), barbequing with friends & family and enjoying conversation at one of the many outdoor dining areas. On those rare chilly evenings, stargaze and roast marshmallows over the outdoor fire pit or curl up next to the living room fireplace. All while being surrounded with colorful bougainvillea, sweeping mountains & sky vistas, desert sand, palm trees & cactus.
