Recently earned a new girl scout badge!šŸ¤ 

Iā€™m all seriousness, Iā€™ve kindaaa put my whole heart and soul into getting the house rent ready, working to create unique guest experiences, and continuing to provide exceptional hospitality. Just some of the current blooms in the garden. As much as I love spring and early summer blooms, July- September are my personal favorite garden months here in zone 5b. Truly a magical time to visit and pick flowers!

Donā€™t enjoy picking flowers, but love bouquets? Let us know before your trip, and weā€™re happy to do the dirty work for you.

Some side notesā€¦
The zinnias and dahlias are just starting to pop up. Right now thereā€™s enough to mix in to bouquets, but in no time we should have an abundance of both.

There are a ton of daisies and rudbeckia. If youā€™re feeling crafty, have a go at making flower crowns.

As far as that unicorn poppy, truth be told, I have no idea how itā€™s in the mix. Out-of-season and growing on the side of the house as a volunteer, its a happy little coincidence.

This weekend marks the end of winter, and itā€™s starting to actually feel like spring. šŸ„³šŸ˜

To celebrate the season change we stopped by . They had so many quality plants (especially for how early we are in the season). Definitely recommend stopping by for seeds and spring flowers!

Initially I wasnā€™t going to touch this room and planned to save changes for later down the road, but the more I looked at it the more I felt the hockey themed boys bedroom didnā€™t fit the rest of the house. So the question was: how does one cover black trim & red paint quickly without a million coats? By opting for a classic black & white bedroom. Because I went with the existing room colors minus red it only took one coat and then a light touch up coat. Easy and elegant, I can dig it. Going to put a fresh coat of wax on the floor and itā€™s good to gošŸ‘ŒšŸ¼

Between the holidays, events, and my family falling ill, we havenā€™t been able to make it to the house much in the past two months. Which feels pretty crazy given prior to that Iā€™ve been up working on the house almost every other week for the past year. It was good to rest, but now Iā€™m finally heading back to wrap up.

The bathtub/bathroom are just about done!!! This has been one of the biggest projects in the house, and to be just about done feels great. We just need to calk the tub, add drain & light switch covers, touch up some paint and hang the art.
