YMCA Family Camp Nawakwa Nawakwa has been serving families for over 100 years! During the summer, we facilitate engaging family camps that are full of great programming.

During the winter, we also have family getaways and host many groups! We would love to meet your family!

Thank you for coming back for a second year to help us get ready for the summer season!

Stephanie, her crew, and Nawakwa volunteers braved the cold (& snow flurries!) to paint 5 of our South Camp cabins; giving them a fresh new look! The Home Depot donated all the supplies to paint. Big shout out to Stephanie Bumgarner for all her work to secure this grant for Camp Nawakwa and being excited to work with us again!

Today was bittersweet as we celebrated Mary Anderson's last day working at Camp Nawakwa. Some of you may have not had the pleasure of talking with Mary but she is one of the reasons your cabins have been tidy, stocked, and looked after for the past 13 years! The behind the scenes that makes Nawakwa tick is easily overlooked and the little things Mary did in her tenure truly made a difference in our operations. We're sure there are things we don't even realize that Mary took care around camp. From moving around cleaning supplies on her golf cart from place to place, blasting her music while she cleaned, to ensuring the staff ate deviled eggs, Mary kept a smile on her face and showed up ready to make sure all our families walked into our beautiful cabins.

We will miss Mary and we thank her for many years of thankless efforts!
