I have been staying at the Circle H every year since 1992 for the Pheasant opener. Mary and Larry are the best hosts. They are like family. This is the best pheasant season in the last few years. We got our limit each day (4 days) by 3:00pm. There are plenty of birds this year. I can’t wait to come back next year, Lord willing.

Thanks Eric, we are richly blessed to have such good friends

Fishing on Lake Francis Case this week has been very good!!! The walleye are biting in 4-8 feet in the back of Pease Creek and Svatos Bay. On the Point at Pease Creek and up stream on the mud flats in 15-20 feet. South Scalp was great in 15-25 feet. Spring Creek, South of Whetstone bay off the rocks, Campbell Creek and South Wheeler have also been very good in the same depths. The bait has been minnows and night crawlers both. Didn’t seem to matter when the wind was blowing bad. That made for a great walleye chop. The walleyes have been generally between 16-20 inches and they are nice and fat. Some guys are keeping nothing but 17 inch and up and still getting there limits. The water release today is 17500cfs and the lake elevation is 1356 ft., and the lake temp. is 50 degrees. Remember the bridge south of Lake Andes is getting replaced so you need to come by Lake Andes to get to St. Francis bay, Prairie Dog bay and North Point boat dock. When you go by Circle H Motel/Backyard Campground stop in for minnows, night crawlers, tackle, ice and the latest fishing reports. Mary and Larry will help you out. Send us your pictures. We would be happy to post them! Have fun and be safe! Happy fishing everyone!🙏

This week walleye fishing is still very good. The bite is between 15-24 ft. deep and people are catching everywhere from the dam up river. North point bay, burial ground bay, South Scalp, South Wheeler, PeaseCreek, North Wheeler, Whetstone are all getting good walleyes. The bite is starting to turn to some night crawlers as well as the minnow bite. The average water discharge today is 16,000 cfs and the lake elevation is 1357’ at 42 degrees. Remember to get to the Northpoint boat dock, St. Francis boat dock and Prairie Dog bay boat dock you must go to Lake Andes ( past Circle H Motel) and follow the highway south. Take the gravel for about 1/2 mile continuing south. We have minnows, night crawlers, tackle and ice for your weekend convenience. Be safe and have a fun weekend. Happy fishing everyone!🎣
