BREAKING: A little family-run amusement park deep in central Pennsylvania just pulled off one of the biggest upsets in the country. Knoebels in Elysburg has officially been ranked the #1 amusement park in America by Tripadvisor, beating out some of the biggest theme park giants money can buy including Disney.

No massive admission prices. No paying to park. Just classic wooden coasters, homemade food, old school rides, and the kind of place that feels like summer in Pennsylvania the second you walk in.

For a lot of people across NEPA, Knoebels wasn’t just a park growing up. It was field trips, birthday parties, sticky hands from ice cream, winning stuffed animals, and riding the Phoenix until your stomach gave out.

We know the rain over the past weekend dampened many people’s outdoor plans. Everyone seemed to make the best of it—there were still bikes to ride, lines to cast, puddles to jump in, and movies to watch with hot cocoa.
