Our final event of the season will be this weekend, Sunday, Sept 6th. Two seatings for our amazing brunch with the added special feature of live music to accompany our wonderful menu!! Come and enjoy a complimentary mimosa, some amazing food prepared by chef Sarah DeCristino, and return musicians, “Apricot Jam” all in the most beautiful scenery of the Inn at the Lake. Our featured art will be for sale in our gallery with a one day only special sale. You won’t want to miss this. Get your tickets now to reserve your spot. TOMORROW NIGHT is the day! Tuesday, August 25th Art Event at the Inn at the Lake! Sign up now to attend this fun creative "Sip and Create With a View" as we imagine the fall colors returning to our beloved Lake City area and the San Juans...This will be a lesson in Oil Pastels taught by our delightful Cheryl Wiebe Bangle. You get to choose your leaf pattern...these are just a couple of options. There is still room in the class for you!

Our next event is just around the corner...This Monday, August 3rd, afternoon/evening, 4-6 p.m. Join us for a lovely time at the Inn with amazing views, talented artists sharing their process and beautiful work, and some delicious charcuterie and wines. We are excited to share some beautiful work with you and some of our artists will be present to share their process and inspiration with you. We always serve a lovely charcuterie spread along with wine and non-alcoholic beverages. The view has never been better!

I have tried to put a post together 3 times today and have deleted it every time. I don’t want to come across as trying to capitalize from the current challenges in our county.

This place is my home. I’ve lived here for 36 of my 40 years of life in some capacity. My heart thrives here.

I also run a summer business here that provides for my family and affords us the privilege of raising kids here.

So seeing incorrect information circulating is hard. It hurts local businesses, it stresses owners which in turn stresses families. I cant stress enough the importance of attaining accurate information when natural disasters like these happen.

If we can use our platform and following to help spread accurate information, that is what we want to do! We will be sharing information in the coming days straight from Hinsdale County.

We, along with everyone else in LC, are open! The Alpine Loop is still open! A lot of our public lands are also still open! More days than not, the skies are mostly clear and there is rain in our forecast!

Our community is strong and tight knit…small town mountain pride at its finest! Come see it in action with your own eyes!

Some facts for anyone thinking about coming to Lake City:
1. This photo is the spectacular view from our patio this morning (Monday July 20)
2. The Elk Fire has NOT GROWN AT ALL the last three days!! Smoke is VERY minimal right now.
3.Lake City is alive and well, bustling with activity and open for business.
4. The Alpine Loop is open for all OHV traffic and the views from the top are magnificent!
5. Moose watching is still our favorite pastime.
