Nine years ago, we were city folks living in South Florida who moved to the country without much of a plan. We just wanted some open space, green grass and a little peace and quiet.
We looked around and everybody had cows, so we figured we had to get a few too. Turns out, cows are pretty addicting. A few turned into too many, and before long, we had ourselves a little beef business Fruitful Earth Farms
Then came the sheep. Then the lamb.
Somewhere along the way, we tucked a few little cabins into a corner of the farm so folks visiting our beautiful springs could enjoy a little piece of country life too.
Looking back, it’s pretty amazing what can grow from simply being willing to start - even when you don’t quite know where it’ll take you.
No grand plan. Just nine years of building fences, collecting animals, working hard and saying, “Well… why not?”
Sometimes you don’t need the whole plan. You just need to take the first step.
