On Sunday, August 30, we will be having Fun Day Sunday! 🎉

Fun Day Sunday is an outreach event for children where kids are invited to wear their play clothes to church and bring their friends to enjoy Bible-based games and activities based on what we have been learning in Children’s Church.

During this event, we will be playing games based on the Ten Commandments that we have recently learned about and some other fun games and crafts. We will also be concluding our Youth vs. Kids Challenge and finding out who will get a bucket of water dumped on them!

There are invitation cards available at the front of the church on the welcome center for anyone who would like to invite coworker’s children, family members, friends, or other children ages 5–12.

Please note: This event is specifically for Children’s Church.

This morning in Children’s Church, we learned about faith through the story of the widow of Zarephath in 1 Kings 17. Even though she only had a little oil and flour left, she trusted God and gave what she had to make bread for the prophet Elijah. Because of her faith and obedience, God faithfully provided for her needs.

To wrap up our lesson, the kids got to flatten their own dough and enjoy homemade bread as a hands-on reminder of today’s Bible story. It was a fun way to experience the lesson and remember that we can trust God, even when we don’t have much.

God transformed Saul into Paul, and his testimony continues to encourage believers today. Our youth had fun creating a timeline of Paul’s life as we prepared for our upcoming lesson on the power of our testimonies ✝️
