Looking for a mechanic whom is capable of repairing all types of equipment offered by Speedy Equipment Rentals (e.g. tractors, lifts, pumps, generators, air compressors, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic equipment and more), including diagnosing complex equipment problems while following all safety rules. Ensures equipment is in good working order for rental customers, without down time, using cost-effective methods. This person should also have knowledge of hauling equipment, strapping and chaining equipment.

Job Description

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES*

Perform every job right the first time in order to maintain and exceed customer expectations and prevent unnecessary service calls in the field.
Keep available equipment in good working order and in presentable condition.
Service equipment correctly on the first attempt as required to ensure proper working condition when leaving the shop.
Fabricate parts and equipment as required to meet shop and customer needs.
Assists with loading and unloading of equipment as needed
Assists with repairs and maintenance of equipment as needed
May diagnose simple mechanical equipment problems
Perform safety inspections on equipment and maintains a clean and safe work environment.
Meet all company, governmental and equipment-specific safety requirements
Other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS

1 to 2 years' experience with similar equipment strongly preferred
Ability to effectively and safely use mechanic's tools and equipment to diagnose and trouble shoot complex equipment problems
Ability to communicate equipment issues and understand job assignments
Ability to prioritize work assignments
Personal and professional integrity
Exhibit a clear understanding of the necessity of equipment safety
Flexibility regarding work assignments
Must be physically able to work in a jobsite environment for extensive periods to include lifting up to 50lbs, bending, squatting, crouching, and reaching
Some equipment hauling desired

This job will be a mixture of part time and full time Monday - Friday, around 4 hours per day.

This job could be performed from 8am to 12pm or 6pm to 10pm.

This job DOES HAVE the potential to become full time.

This job will require you to have a valid drivers license, and be able to pull a trailer.

Speedy Equipment Rentals has partnered with a rapidly growing coffee company to service their drive thru units.

The job duties will include pulling a trailer, operating pumps, hooking up hoses, keeping hoses clean and storing them properly to ensure they stay clean, filling fresh water, draining waste tanks, filling generators with fuel, and collecting trash bags from some locations.

We will need someone with experience pulling trailers, and a clean driving record.

For now the job will be part time Monday through Friday, about 3-4 hours per day, some days maybe more.

We need someone that is able to manage themselves, drive safely, be responsible, and behave in a professional manner.

If you are looking for a little bit of extra side money without working on the weekends this could be a great job for you.

Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour
