Serene Woods Retreat Welcome to Serene Woods Retreat. We have been hosting guests since 2016. Updated for 2024 season! There is a long term renter in the lower level.

Our private residence is in a quiet neighborhood at the Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center and offers a cozy upper level rental. Each has its own private entrance and private deck with a wooded lot and winter views. Our place is close to great views, family-friendly activities, restaurants and dining. You’ll love our place because of the coziness, the location, the people. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers and business travelers.

The colors are beautiful right now.
In the midst of so much damage and devastation in WNC, there is still so much beauty.

So many people from around the U.S. and Canada have come to help our region. It’s awe-inspiring. Thank you to everyone who has come to help in any way you could and who plan to come support us in our long term recovery efforts.

Whether they are individuals, small or large, private or governmental organizations, the speed at which they showed up was incredible, as was the breadth of support they offered and continue to offer.

We are in this together. We need each other. We are community. We have done and will do amazing things. Healing Appalachia. ❤️🙏

The house is safe and sound. We experienced the storm’s winds and rains and the short-term loss of power, cell service, and internet but that was all.

So many in our area experienced catastrophic losses. We have heroes in our midst who have come to our assistance and we are so grateful.

Prayers of gratitude to them as they care for our community and prayers for their safety as they do so. Feel free to add your prayers for the volunteers, first responders, families, and community members.

It will take a while for us to experience a full recovery but it will happen because we are strong and resilient. We are community.
