Oh Brother Big Sister at Fountain Point Resort in July 2017. I was so worried that the people was going to leave, because it was one of those cool summer evenings where you are basically sitting inside a foggy rain cloud that doesn't show up on weather radar! I needn't have worried because the crowd was so enraptured with the band that I don't think they noticed anything else!

I'm looking forward to working with Oh Brother Big Sister again tomorrow in another special setting - The Yurt at The Little Fleet! Get your tickets now:

Finally picked these up from International Bluegrass Music Association ☺️ What an honor to be awarded “Guitar player of the year” and “New Artist of the year”at IBMA. I’m extremely grateful to all the folks who voted and to IBMA itself for all it does for the world of bluegrass music. Pick on!!

Sunday October 20 would have been a great afternoon for a concert!

Happy birthday Joshua! And thank you again for your awesome September performance @FP!

Yes, it is my birthday. I’m a lucky man. I’m surrounded by loving family, friends and community and I get to create and do what I love for a living. It’s because of you! Thank you. I’m teaching young songwriters at Interlochen Center for the Arts 3 days a week this year (yes, it’s a dream job), but I’ll also be out and about a bunch in the next few months. Please come say hi. Lots of love, JD.

A note from Melinda Hollands on LLRC Inclusivity.

U.S. Rowing defines in inclusive event as one in which 50% of rowers in a boat have a disability. But what words could be used to describe an inclusive club? Awesome? Super? Over the pay grade? These are words that members of Lake Leelanau Rowing Club occasionally use to describe a particularly significant occurrence, however none of these terms can capture the true depth of inclusivity that our club exemplifies

Inclusivity is not just a percentage of participants. It is about a culture of acceptance and support, of understanding and openness, of assisting when needed and allowing to be assisted in return. Inclusivity is demonstrated in offering rides to Fountain Point, lending an arm to guide one over unfamiliar terrain, or filling out registrations. It is shown in simple gestures such as introducing oneself when one approaches, sending club documents in formats that are accessible with adaptive technology, or identifying oars with notches which provide tactile guidance. it is helping to carry boats through congested areas and securing oar locks when time is limited.

I am so proud of the Lake Leelanau Rowing Club. From Juniors through Masters, most people at LLRC are kind and compassionate when it comes to people with disabilities. I am inspired by the efforts many are making to transition us to a member driven club. I am proud of the talented people I have met in my four years rowing at Fountain Point. I am totally impressed with those that seized the opportunity to row at Nationals, and am in awe of the outstanding races people completed. I am overwhelmed by the willingness of Diane Hamilton to embark on an adventure of rowing with me in the Inclusive Women’s Double with only weeks to prepare. And, yes of course, I am beyond thrilled that my daughter, Ashley, was willing to row with me in the Mother/Daughter event. I will cherish my medals forever, but even more importantly I cherish the people I have met as I have grown to love this sport ... The people who understand and demonstrate inclusivity every day. If there were medals to signify this important, value, all at LLRC would be wearing gold! Thank you for each of your contributions to this amazing club. I appreciate your encouragement and support, and I am proud to be part of us

Thank you Recording Academy / GRAMMYs for the interview feature!

"I think the most important thing that we do is our live show... We're gonna make records and we're going to do our best to recreate that live setting on an album, but we're a live music band. Every night it's different."

"Destination Michigan" on WCMU

So exciting!

Tomorrow brings an emotional and exciting new episode of Destination Michigan. Join us as we learn about how horses are used as a form of therapy at HopeWell Ranch. Then we'll head north to the Lake Leelanau Rowing Club, where one rower doesn’t let life's challenges stop her from achieving her goals. Next, we'll head to Grass Lake to explore the Lost Railway Museum. Then we’ll get artsy at Paint Grand Traverse in Traverse City. Finally, we'll end the show with a bite to eat at Food Truck Friday CMURC in Mount Pleasant.

We are happy to whisper that we will soon be scheduling a very special August concert, but in the meantime...!

Good Morning Bedlam

Getting to know Good Morning Bedlam

Good Morning Bedlam is based in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area and composed of Isaak, Victoria, Sophia and Benji.

Isaak says, “We’re desperate to connect to people through the common human experiences that we write about and the exuberance of our live show. People have a lot of choices of how they’ll kick-back, so we intend to deliver a show where they can be free--to share in whatever they need to--joy, grief, anger, gratefulness, or bedlam!”

You can catch Good Morning Bedlam with The Accidentals and Ben Traverse Kolk at Fountain Point Resort this Sunday, June 16th. Get your tickets now!

As most of you know, our page was hacked a little over a week ago, and all of the content that we have been posting to our page for the past four years is not recoverable. (see post pinned to top of page for full story).

Now begins the work of rebuilding our content.**

First. Thank you! This last week, your kind words and offers to post content of Good Morning Bedlam has been so humbling and incredibly encouraging. As we begin rebuilding our page, you’ll see “new” uploads of some of our most popular content from the past four years.

Many of you have asked what you can do to help out or support us! The most helpful things you can do are share, like, comment on, and tag friends to the video below! Also feel free to post any content you have of Good Morning Bedlam to our page!

We are kicking things off by re-uploading our music video for 'Dancing Fool.'

Thank you once again for all of the amazing support! You are truly the reason we do this!

**Venues book bands based on social media presence and content interaction, and unfortunately our history has been wiped out.
