Raven's Rest Cabin - Lake Lure Ravens Rest Cabin is conveniently located in the peaceful gated community of Riverbend, Lake Lure, NC Off the kitchen is a laundry room with WASHER and DRYER.

The kitchen is ideal for a group vacation, with tons of upper and lower cabinets, and ample granite counters for food preparation and serving. It features refrigerator freezer, dishwasher, electric stove and oven, microwave, toaster oven, DRIP AND KEURIG COFFEE MAKERS, plenty of cookware and utensils, and enough dishes and glasses for everyone. The formal dining area adjoins the kitchen making ser

ving meals a breeze. It has a table for six, the ideal place for dining, playing games, or just sitting to plan the next day's activities. If you prefer to dine outside, there is a full-length deck with table and chairs, GAS BARBEQUE and additional seating. The luxurious Master Suite has KING SIZE bed, two large nightstands with reading lamps, a huge 14 drawer dresser, walk in closet, dressing mirror, and ceiling fan. If you need to get some work done while on vacation, there is a small desk so you can work where it's quiet. The private Master Bath has full length vanity with two sinks and enough drawers for all your items at your home away from home. There's enough room for two people to get ready at the same time with a big counter and oversized mirror. Choose from a big soaking bathtub after hiking, or a quick shower if you're on the go. We provide thick white luxurious towels, and starter bathroom amenities in case you arrive late. The outside is a mountain paradise. In addition to the full-length deck, there is a FIRE PIT with chairs, ready to roast marshmallows and make lasting memories. The big level back yard is an ideal place for children to run around safely.

Great place for dinner!

The new menu is in full swing. We kept a few hearty dishes — like the Venison Bolognese with pecorino and crispy garlic — for these brisk evenings, while adding some brighter, spring-leaning flavors.

The Camp Grier Greens bring a little sunshine to the table with gorgonzola, blistered cherry tomatoes, Nueske’s lardon, roasted peanuts, pickled shallots, and blood orange — our attempt to will the warmer weather into existence.

No matter the forecast, we think you’re going to love what’s new.

A Vision for a 100+ Mile Trail Network in the Hickory Nut Gorge 🌄

Imagine a loop trail linking Bearwallow Mountain, Blue Ridge Pastures, and Florence Nature Preserve. Imagine another circling Lake Lure, with dramatic stops at Youngs Mountain, Eagle Rock, and World’s Edge. That vision is becoming reality thanks to our friends at Conserving Carolina

More than 38 miles of trails are already open, with many more underway. In fact, the NC General Assembly designated this emerging network as the Hickory Nut Gorge State Trail—a system the Asheville Citizen-Times says is “expected to be a state treasure to rival the Mountains-to-Sea Trail.”

And now, there’s a major missing piece coming into place.

🏞️ Lower Ghost Town: A Keystone Connection

The CCC’s acquisition of Lower Ghost Town moves the Gorge one huge step closer to completing the 100+ mile trail system—a trail linking climbers, hikers, and communities from Chimney Rock Village to Chimney Rock State Park and beyond.

This is conservation and recreation working hand-in-hand to create lasting impact.
