"This past Monday, we held our annual Memorial Day Red, White, and Blue event at Apple Valley Golf Course. We had 40 players come out and brave the unpredictable weather, and we were able to dodge the rain perfectly!

Each Memorial Day and Labor Day, we have an exciting event where players have to choose from different sets of tees, and they have to play 6 from each one they choose to make a unique 18-hole round. Players all have their strategy going into the day, and sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't! Regardless of the results, players get to enjoy a fun way to play a round of golf. Check out the scores below to see some of the excellent results from the day."

Festivities Saturday evening quite literally brought the heat! It may have come with a little rain, but not even the weather could extinguish the energy. Hula Carolina Entertainment lit up the lakefront with a mesmerizing Polynesian hula and fire show that had guests completely captivated from start to finish.

Thank you for making our Memorial Day Weekend Celebration - Luau Party one to remember. There's so much more to come!

From colorful lei making and face painting to a traditional Hawaiian feast filled with island-inspired flavors, our Luau Party brought the tropics to the shores of Lake Lure all day long.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the festivities and helped make the evening so memorable. The best part? The celebration is far from over. Memorial Day Weekend fun continues all weekend long here at Rumbling Bald, and we can’t wait to keep the good times rolling.

A little rain couldn’t keep the excitement off the water today. The Carolina Show Ski Team brought the energy, excitement, and unforgettable high-flying action to Lake Lure earlier today as we officially kicked off our Memorial Day Weekend Celebration - Luau Party! From incredible stunts and towering pyramids to moments that had the crowd cheering through the rain, the show was nothing short of spectacular.

A heartfelt thank you to the entire Carolina Show Ski Team for helping make our first large event back on the lake such a memorable one. Your talent and athleticism helped us celebrate this long-awaited moment in the best way possible, with a splash big enough for everyone to remember.

And to everyone who came out to celebrate with us, rain and all, thank you for being part of this incredible comeback season. The lake days we’ve missed are finally returning, and this weekend was just the beginning.

Now, let's get our Luau on!

"This year marked the 23rd Annual Ladies Invitational Golf Tournament here at Rumbling Bald, and what a great week it was!

We were proud to host 100 ladies representing 25 different clubs from North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, and Ohio. The event featured a two-person Best Ball format. The competition began on Tuesday with the first round being played at Apple Valley Golf Course and concluded on Wednesday at Bald Mountain Golf Course. The ladies were treated to a putting contest, five meals, a night of live music featuring The Otter Dogs, and 36 holes of golf.

We are incredibly excited to continue growing such a special event here at Rumbling Bald and are already looking forward to next year’s Invitational.

A special congratulations goes out to our Overall Gross Champions, our very own Paige Sheehan and Michele Butler, on an outstanding performance this week!
