🍁 Planning a North Carolina fall leaf trip already? This guide is for you.

If you’re trying to decide which week to book your cabin, request vacation time, or plan a Blue Ridge Parkway road trip, this should give you a good starting point.

This is NOT a fall color prediction.

It’s a planning guide based on North Carolina’s typical fall color progression by elevation over past years.

The exact timing depends on weather. A warm September, a cool October, rainfall, or an early cold snap can all shift peak color by several days.

That’s why the most accurate foliage forecasts won’t be available until we get closer to October.

But if you’re planning ahead, this is the best time to start narrowing down which week is usually your best bet.

🍂 Week 1: Highest mountain peaks
🍂 Week 2: High Country & higher Blue Ridge Parkway elevations
🍂 Week 3: Many of North Carolina’s most popular mountain towns
🍂 Week 4: Lower mountain elevations and foothills

I’ll post updated foliage reports as we get closer to the season if the timing starts to shift.

4th of July at lake lure! 🌟❤️🌟❤️🌟

Your 4th of July plans are here! 🇺🇸🎆 Join us at Lake Lure Inn & Spa for our annual Independence Day celebration as we honor America’s 250th birthday!

Enjoy an evening filled with live music, delicious food, drinks, games, and, of course, a spectacular fireworks show over Lake Lure.

🎟️ Your ticket includes:
• Beach access
• Buffet dinner
• Fireworks show

Doors open at 6:00 PM, with the DJ kicking off the festivities at 6:00 PM. After sundown, sit back and enjoy the fireworks display!
Beer and wine will be available for purchase on the beach, and cocktails will be served inside the Moose & Goose.
