3… 2… 1… WHAT A YEAR! 🎉

In our first year, 321 reservations came through Hooked on the Mountains Vacation Rentals. 🎣🏔️

That’s 321 arrivals to prepare for. 321 groups of guests trusting us with their mountain getaway. Thousands of messages answered, countless beds made, plenty of problems solved, and a whole lot of memories made along the way.

When we started Hooked on the Mountains, we set out to build a vacation rental management company we could be proud of. Seeing 321 reservations in Year One feels like a pretty great reason to celebrate. 💙

And this is just one of the milestones we’re celebrating this week. We’ve packed a LOT into our first 365 days, and we can’t wait to share some of the numbers, accomplishments, and lessons that made our first year what it was.

321 reservations. One incredible first year. 🥂

Not every vacation home needs vacation renters. 🏡💙

One of the things we’ve learned during our first year is that “property management” doesn’t have to mean turning your home into a full-time vacation rental.

Some of our owners simply want to enjoy their mountain home when they’re here — and know it’s being looked after when they’re not.

That’s where our Home Care Management comes in.

We currently care for homes like Thunderbolt on a partial-management basis. Instead of focusing on filling the calendar with reservations, our job is to help take care of the home.

We can coordinate housekeeping, lawn care and maintenance, keep an eye on the property between visits, prepare the home before an owner’s arrival, handle issues that pop up while they’re away, and simply give them a local set of eyes and hands when they can’t be here.

And if an owner does want to occasionally rent their home? We can help with that too — without requiring them to turn it into a full-time rental.

Because sometimes the goal isn’t maximizing bookings.

Sometimes the luxury is simply arriving at your mountain home and getting to enjoy it. 🏔️

If you own a second home in the Lake Lure area and have ever thought, “I really just need someone local I can trust to take care of things,” we’d love to talk.

🌹 Every story has a beginning. Ours started with Wild Rose.

Before the reservations, the Superhost awards, the growing portfolio, and everything that has come with our first year, there was one homeowner willing to say yes.

Wild Rose was the very first home to sign with Hooked on the Mountains. And there’s something pretty special about the person who trusts you before there’s a track record to point to — just a plan, a promise to work hard, and a vision for what this company could become.

We still remember the excitement when that very first reservation came through. Then came preparing the house, cleaning it ourselves, getting everything just right and welcoming our first guests. Things that have become part of our everyday routine now felt like huge milestones then.

And in a way, they were. 💙

Because every reservation since can be traced back to that first homeowner who trusted us with Wild Rose.

A year later, this home is still doing what it did from the beginning: giving guests a beautiful place to slow down, escape to the mountains, and remember exactly why they came here in the first place. 🌹🏔️

So it seems only fitting that while we celebrate our first year, we take you back to where it all started.

And if you haven’t stayed at Wild Rose yet, maybe it’s time to see for yourself why this little piece of the mountains helped get us hooked. 🎣💙

🎉 Somebody put a party hat on the hook… we’re ONE! 🎣🥳

One year ago, we officially launched Hooked on the Mountains Vacation Rentals LLC with a pretty simple goal: build a vacation rental management company we could be proud of.

One that takes care of homes like they are our own. One that creates stays guests want to come back to. And one that keeps learning, improving, and building better systems as we grow.

A year later, we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built — and even more grateful to the homeowners, guests, team members, and community who have been part of it. 💙

We’ve packed a LOT into our first 365 days, so we’re spending the next week celebrating some of the milestones we’ve hit along the way. 🥳

But today, we’re just putting a party hat on the hook and celebrating ONE YEAR of Hooked on the Mountains! 🎣🏔️🎉
