At this new KOA in a quiet country setting (yet less than a half mile from I-75), you can camp along the lakeshore at Lake Panasoffkee. The campground's boat ramp, dock and two bathhouses make it easy to take advantage of fishing and other fun on the water. Don't have your own boat? Cast off on one of the campground's canoes or sign on with a local boat operator for a wild ride on an airboat. Bird

-watching is great, and turtles and gators cruise these waters too. Campground activities include horseshoes, shuffleboard and Wiffle golf. Enjoy the pool, a game room and a recreation hall that's ideal for family reunions and other groups. There are plenty of nearby attractions, including the Glades H**p Farm, weekly flea markets and music jams at Catfish Johnny's.

This is a Pet-friendly shelter. All pets must be crated.

The time may arise that you may need to evacuate your trailer or motor home to go to a safer place.
If you have no choice but to go to a shelter, do not leave until officials announce that the shelter is open. Information about shelters that are open in your area will be available through newspapers, television, radio, and Emergency Management. Locations can change quickly, so stay informed.

Please bring your own chairs, bedding, food, water and prescription drugs with you to shelters. Do not bring pets (unless the shelter is specified as a pet-friendly shelter), weapons, alcohol or illegal drugs.

Please remember to check before proceeding to a shelter. If you need information about the status of a shelter, please call the Citizen Information Line at 352-569-3190 to confirm they are accepting evacuees before going to the shelter.
