🏕️ SITE CHECK SERIES — TOP 5 THINGS TO KNOW! 🌲
We want everyone to enjoy their site, keep it looking great, and—most importantly—keep it in compliance with Park rules.
We’re starting a new Site Check Series highlighting some of the most common issues we find when checking sites, especially when a member is preparing to sell.
🔎 TOP 5 — START HERE!
1️⃣ KEEP YOUR GREENBELT! 🌲
Your site must maintain a minimum 6-foot greenbelt on the sides and back. Nothing may be removed from the greenbelt without permission from the Park Manager.
Need additional room for parking or a golf cart? Don't just expand your site. Permission is required before making changes.
2️⃣ FIRE PITS 🔥
Fire pits cannot be larger than 36 inches inside the ring and must be at least 6 feet from the greenbelt. There must also be NO overhanging limbs above the fire pit.
3️⃣ TREES 🌳
Please don't remove trees without Park permission. Trees must be evaluated by the Park before removal is approved. Trees 6 inches in diameter or less may be approved for removal after inspection, at the Park's discretion.
Trees may be limbed up to 18 feet to eliminate overhanging limbs from your trailer, shed or other structures.
4️⃣ TRAILER & BUILDING CLEARANCES 🚐
Your trailer must be at least 3 feet from the road and at least 6 feet from another building.
Remember, sheds, gazebos and woodsheds also need proper clearance—at least 6 feet from other buildings and 3 feet from the greenbelt.
Please don't back your trailer right up against your neighbor's shed!
5️⃣ GUESTS & GUEST TRAILERS 👋
All guests must be properly signed in, and it's easy to do online through the Park website.
And remember: A guest trailer is just that—a GUEST trailer. A second trailer may be on your site for a maximum of 30 days, but it cannot become a permanent second trailer.
🚨 A FRIENDLY REMINDER
The Park has spent a lot of time giving warnings and reminders about speeding and other rule violations.
We want everyone to have fun—but going forward, citations will be issued when rules are not followed.
And here's something to remember during our Poker Runs! 🃏🏁
Everyone loves the Poker Runs, so let's keep them fun and safe. If you're caught speeding, you can be disqualified from the Poker Run.
👉 Slow down, enjoy the ride, play by the rules—and give yourself a chance to win that BIG POT! 💰
We'll be sharing more Site Check Series posts with other common compliance issues. Keep an eye out, check your site, and help us keep Lake Connor a great place for everyone! ❤️🏕️
When in doubt, ask the Park Manager BEFORE making changes to your site.
