Foodie Alert! When the days are just too hot to do all the baking, let Regina handle the work. I can already taste a slice of that bread, sopping up the red sauce, a little butter pat on top of that cinnamon roll slightly heated, and a delicious cup of coffee.

Mississippi River showing off its whisker power! 🎣

Look at this HAUL our guests brought in yesterday from the mighty Mississippi! Over 20 hefty catfish caught on limb lines with live bait - the kind of fishing day that becomes family legend.

When the Mississippi decides to be generous, it doesn't hold back! These lucky anglers spent their day setting lines and checking them, then brought their impressive catch back to our cleaning station to prepare for some epic fish fries to come.

There's something special about traditional river fishing methods like limb lines - connecting today's anglers with generations of Delta fishing heritage. Skills passed down, stories shared, and when you're lucky, coolers filled!

Who else is feeling inspired to test the Mississippi's generosity this weekend?

Last night's Flower Moon rising over Lake Chicot was pure Delta magic! ✨

May's full moon, traditionally known as the Flower Moon, cast its silver path across our waters - a sight that stops you in your tracks and reminds you why people have been drawn to these shores for generations.

The Native Americans named this full moon for the abundant blooms that appear across the landscape this time of year. Watching it rise over Lake Chicot feels like witnessing the same view that has captivated people here for centuries.

Some moments just can't be fully captured, even in photos. But they sure can be remembered! Did you catch this spectacular moonrise last night?

Friday's fishing report: LEGENDARY! 🎣

These campers just redefined what 'a good day on Lake Chicot' means! Check out these massive catfish laid out at our cleaning station - when you need the whole table for just a few fish, you know you've hit the motherload!

Some days the fish stories are big. Other days, like today, the fish themselves are even bigger! These happy anglers definitely found where the monster cats were holding today.

Lake Chicot is showing off what makes it one of the Delta's premier catfishing destinations. When catches like these happen, word travels fast around here!

Who else is ready to test their luck this weekend? These waters are clearly feeling generous!

That golden moment when Ditch Bayou puts on its morning show... ✨

There's something sacred about watching the sun break over the water at RedLeaf, painting the bayou in shades of gold and promise. This is the kind of Delta dawn that makes even the earliest risers glad they didn't hit snooze!

Nature's daily reminder that each day is a fresh canvas - and here in our corner of Arkansas, that canvas comes with a waterfront view.

Who else finds themselves mesmerized by these quiet morning moments? The fish might be biting, but sometimes the sunrise itself is catch enough!

Nature's roadside treasures! ✨

Our Delta roadsides are putting on quite the wildflower show right now along Jennie Cutoff. These beautiful White evening primroses are stealing the spotlight, with their delicate blooms opening in the evening and closing by midday.

Did you know that these lovely natives have a fascinating history in the South? Their roots were once used medicinally by early settlers, and some folks still make evening primrose oil for skin conditions and women's health. Nature's pharmacy growing right beside our Delta fields!

Also spotted the humble Spotted Spurge keeping them company - another resilient Delta native making its home wherever it can.

These roadside beauties remind us to slow down and notice the wild treasures that thrive in the in-between places of our landscape. What wildflowers are you spotting in your corner of the Delta?

Mom's bearded iris beauties are showing off! 💜

These stunning bearded irises framing our park sign aren't just pretty faces - they're part of a long Southern tradition. These hardy perennials have graced Delta gardens for generations, often passed down through families as prized heirlooms.

Beyond their obvious charm, these beauties have some fascinating history:

The ancient Greeks named them after the rainbow goddess Iris

Southern folklore says planting them near your home brings good luck
Their roots (rhizomes) were once used medicinally to treat skin conditions
They symbolize faith, hope, and wisdom - perfect sentiments for welcoming guests!

Mom's garden touch keeps our entrance looking spectacular while honoring those classic Southern garden traditions. Some flowers just belong in the Delta!
Have you spotted any eye-catching spring blooms in your neighborhood lately?
