National Garden Club Week – Day 7 🇺🇸🌺
As National Garden Club Week comes to a close, I can’t help but feel like the week has flown by far too quickly.
This week, the members of the Lake Village Garden Club have enjoyed celebrating gardening, community, patriotism, and the beauty of Lake Village. For our final day, we added a little fun and whimsy to Main Street by placing patriotic pinwheels in the downtown planters, drawing attention to the beautiful American flags that line our streets and the flags proudly displayed throughout Chicot County.
From honoring our veterans through the Blue Star Memorial Program, to partnering with the library’s summer reading program, to beautifying our community and encouraging others to grow with us, this week has been a wonderful reminder of the power of garden clubs to make a difference.
As we close National Garden Club Week, we also look forward to Flag Day tomorrow and continue celebrating America’s 250th birthday throughout this historic year.
