Camp Lester is a mom & pop fish camp, small but big in so many ways! Leo & Joanne Cosce have owned Camp Lester since 1975. There is always fun to be had!

They offer cabins, RV spots, a boat ramp, a small store, campfire and many times a cookout!

If you happen to see this beautiful lady today, make sure to wish her a happy birthday. Tuesday birthdays are very uneventful, so come hang out with us during Labor Day weekend to help her celebrate!!!

A week from tonight, Friday, September 4th will be the final leg of our summer Friday night bass tournaments. Take-off will be at 6pm with weigh-in taking place at camp at 9pm. Entry fee is $60 per boat which includes $10 towards big bass pot. 100% payback, with number of boats determining how many places are paid. No pre-registration, pay evening of event at camp. It will be a 3 fish limit with state regulations (only 1 bass per angler that is 16 inches or larger). Artificial baits only. This is a 2 person team event, but you can fish solo (though this puts you at a disadvantage due to state regulations). Please make sure your boat has working live wells and navigation/anchor lights prior to registration.

Hot Dogs will be served after weigh-in. Hope to see you next Friday!! Please help spread the word and let's make this last one the best one yet!!

1st Place: John & Brian Stahl: 11.30 lbs

2nd Place: Dee Hart & Brad Jones: 6.85lbs

BB: John & Brian Stahl: 5.30lbs

We are deeply saddened to pass along the news of the loss of a Camp Lester friend who was very much like family.

James “Jim” aka Pop Lyon passed peacefully on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, beside his bride of over 70 years, Agnes. Jim has been a member of this community for over thirty years and was loved by many.

Friends and loved ones are welcome to visit Agnes, their children, and grandchildren this coming Saturday, August 7, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm in the Lyon’s Den, their home at 3850 Howard Ave to share happy memories and condolences. Our time with Jim will always be treasured. Go catch a big one up there.

Results from our Friday Nighter: Mother Nature tried real hard to keep us from fishing, but 15 boats were ready to roll and we didn't skip a beat!!

1st: Steve Coleman & Dee Hart: 14.85lbs (new tournament record!!)

2nd: Donnie Tickle and Scott Hooten: 10.95lbs

3rd: Steve and Sonya Dawson: 8.70lbs

BB: Steve Coleman and Dee Hart: 7.10lbs.
