Attention Scouts and Scouters!

We have need for volunteers to help set up canvas tents at Flaming Arrow this Saturday (November 6) in preparation for a large event the following weekend.

We will begin at 9:00am and lunch will be provided. Please contact Jason Borton ([email protected]) if you can assist so we can have a head count for lunch.

Big things continue to happen at Flaming Arrow!

During the weekend of May 14-16, Flaming Arrow hosted Uh-Tō-Yeh-Hut-Tee Lodge's annual Bull Weekend to get camp ready for summer programs. We had 120 in attendance and accomplished an amazing amount of work!

Some of the tasks completed were removal of old canvas tents, putting up new canvas tents, spreading mulch in the chapel, spreading mulch in the climbing/rappelling tower compound, off loading decking boards for the Jenkins hall remodel, removal of several danger trees, repairing the roof of the Low Cope Pavilion, trimming of many trees, brush clearing on trails and campsite entrances, and more!

Thank you to lodge members for their dedication and cheerful service this past weekend from Ranger Kevin Slater and the Scouts and Scouters who will be using the camp in the future. All of our camps are updating facilities and making improvements. We look forward to seeing you at camp!

Big things are happening at Flaming Arrow!

Yesterday, April 14, Ranger Kevin Slater was joined by fellow GTBAC Rangers Wayne Tepper (Camp Brorein), Don VanDuser (Camp Soule), Daniel Tremblay (Sand Hill Scout Reservation), and by Property Maintenance Manager Frank Marion to continue renovation work on the chapel at Flaming Arrow. They set poles and attached seat supports in preparation for new bench seats.

On Saturday, volunteers from the local Rotary Club will come and assist in the renovation along with Scouts. Ranger Kevin would like to thank the Rotary Club for helping to fund the renovation as well as Julie Plante for her support in this effort.

Flaming Arrow -- and all of our camps -- are on the move updating facilities and making improvements for the Scouts of Greater Tampa Bay Area Council, Boy Scouts of America. We look forward to seeing you at camp!
