It’s amazing to us, how nature gives us these amazing scenes everyday.

As fourth of July weekend is coming to an end. Thought we would share some pictures of the events. The boat parade. is very near and dear to our hearts. Many years ago long before we came here there was a boat parade but for some reason it just stopped. After a couple of years living here two of the residents of Lakehead came to Harold and asked him to help restart the parade. They were Dave McNeil and Ron Johnson. They have long since left us. So we called all guests for that week and asked them to Join. They pretty much all agreed. That parade maybe had 12 boats. Many of the guests that were in that 1st parade were in lasts night parade. Ever since then it has been a tradition for this little community. Since we can’t have fireworks. This has been a great replacement. Thanks to everyone who supported this and continues too. As the parade started out small. I can see the drone show going the way of the Lakehead Parade, just getting better!

It was really sad to see another long time friend of Sugarloaf Cottages as left us. Richard Fisher and his family spent many spring days with us for over 15 years. He was a kind soul and had the best laugh! We know you’re not gone just in another room. Sending our condolences and prayers to his family and friends.
