Some of the largest and oldest trees in the world are located right by us here at Lakeshore Resort! Tucked away in the Sierra National Forest, McKinley Grove is home to a beautiful stand of giant sequoias—some towering more than 200 feet overhead and dating back well over 1,000 years. 🌲

It’s a short walk, but one that makes you feel very, very small in the best possible way. Just off the road to Wishon and Courtright Reservoirs, it’s one of those easy-to-miss Sierra gems that’s absolutely worth the stop.

Ancient trees, mountain air, and a little reminder that some things have been standing here long before us—and hopefully will be long after. 🤎

Its so cool that our very own team members are so talented and like to connect with nature this way 🌲🎶 Come on up and get inspired by life at 7,000 feet! We roll out our winter menu this weekend and it is truly delicious. But don’t take our word for it, experience it for yourself!
