This is a cause that is near and dear to my heart. Large scale aquaculture farms and the resulting pollutants that they will emit are threatening the pristine waters of Maine, specifically those that surround the treasure that is Acadia National park. In turn, this also threatens the lobstering industry which is key to Maine’s economy and people’s livelihoods. Help us fight off large aquaculture industries that are trying to establish themselves in Maine. Maine currently does not have the appropriate laws to protect itself.
