Triple C Ranch

Triple C Ranch A private ranch, but a place for friends (and their horses) to ride, rest and take in the beauty of It is located on five acres in Landers, California.

Triple C Ranch is named for my three Missouri Fox Trotter horses: Candy, Charley and Corona. With the house and pool already on the property, a mare motel, stalls and a 72x120 foot arena was added to accommodate the horses. Ride your horse right out of the gate and explore the local area.

Sadly, I am in the process of closing down the Triple C Ranch. Age is not kind, and without help at the ranch, I cannot keep up with the demands on my own. Additionally, since COVID helped raise the price of hay and other horse-related things, my retirement pay cannot keep up with sky-rocketing prices. I may end up selling the ranch, or renting it out. Only time will tell what is in the tea leaves.

With all of the intense desert heat for weeks on end, it was refreshing to hear and feel the rain - even if short-lived.

Long-delayed post about the ranch. We are still here, sweltering in the monsoonal heatwave and humidity. To avoid heat-related illnesses in both horses and people, I do not and will not take the horses on trail when the weather is this intense. After several months of absolute dryness, we finally had a downpour which, after the flooding subsided, disappeared into the ground. If we are lucky, perhaps we will see some pretty desert flower appear in a few weeks. Meanwhile, we keep enjoying the beautiful sunrises and sunsets, along with the thirsty critters who come to the water feature for a wee drink.
