So, I find comfort in knowing that as a (1L) most law schools require you not to work. You can't have a job. The shelter that I am currently staying at offers an holistic trauma based program that requires that you don't work or go to school during your stay. The 9:00 AM Life Skills statuses that I share are some of the classes that I attend while I am here. One of the things that concerned me was the time length of NOT being able to work. Outside of the benefits of a trauma based program and having a place to stay and keep myself clean, if a law student can or is required to go an entire year without working, what's a few months for a holistic trauma based program that will help you heal and be more effective in life and vocationally in the workforce? I constantly find myself telling God, Thank You for the adjustment that he recently allowed me make.

Today, I rested for most of the day. I did get out this evening for a little bit and walked, I tried to find Target. There's one near me. I haven't found it yet, however, there is a FIVE GUYS that has opened up and a Starbucks that is currently being built into the same building with other businesses. I ended up getting a large Lemonade from Chic-fil-A.

Heavy load, yeah, got rid of my heavy load. 👏👏👏👏👏👏

Naturally, I got rid of my roll-away luggage and the big Steve Madden bag and some of the contents in the bag. Why did I carry that stuff for so long? It was damaged, mildewed from rain, and unusable. I have my book bag, that's in my closet space. I'm going to eventually get rid of it, too.

It feels good to only carry my Robin-Ruth cross body purse on a weekday and a laptop bag. 🙌

I was so excited to put my The Wealth Academy mug that I got at the Grand Opening as gift on my shelf and some books I have above where I sleep.

So, yesterday night was the last night at the church warming center, New Life Church & Community Center - Decatur, GA until next winter.

I have been kind of quiet as in not posting lately about where I have been staying. However, I was staying at church Warming Center. 🙏

They did it big for us. They gave us a Sip & Paint, non alcoholic, of course. They had someone set up and decorate the stage where it took place.

I am so thankful for the shelter at night and overnight and dinner and snacks, breakfast and lunches, clothing and hair service, and more that God provided me during this short time that I started coming and staying. They served everyday, the days I was here and the days I couldn't get in due to full capacity, Sunday - Saturday, regardless of the temperature, hot or cold, they were open to serve those who needed a place to stay at night and overnight.

If you know of someone who is homeless in Georgia, this is a place where they can come and receive. They serve the community at large with their other services as well.

Please keep the Pastor, his wife, the congregation, the staff and the volunteers in prayer and say a special blessing for them. 🙏
