It’s time for LaPorte York RIte 5th Thursday Ladies Night Dinner. We love this tradition at La Porte and it was yet another great turnout, this time at Drift on La Porte’s beautiful Pine Lake! We just love those months with 5 Thursday’s in them!

Join us at the Valley of South Bend on May 17.

It's that time. Yabba Dabba Do! Darius Grotto in conjunction with Merou Grotto will be presenting the Loyal Order of Water Buffalo Degree on May 17 at the Valley of South Bend located at 427 N. Main Street in South Bend, IN.

For $75 you get to experience the Water Buffalo Degree in its Full Form, receive a water buffalo hat, lunch, and some other goodies.

Registration is at 9am ET with the degree to commence at 10am ET. Lunch will follow.

All are welcome, Masons, non-Masons, men, women, and children >12 yo. Come and bring a friend(s).

We’re turning 175 and our very own M.E. Joseph Villarreal and his Grand Officers will perform the rededication ceremony before we head to South Bend for his Grand High Priest’s Reception! The entire day is open to the public including the rededication ceremony. RSVP now and come support our Chapter and our MEGHP Joe & First Lady Jennifer!

A BIG congrats to these La Porte Chapter #15 Companions as La Porte #15 very own M.E. Joseph H. Villarreal has been installed the Most Excellent Grand High Priest of the Grand Chapter Royal Arch Masons State of Indiana. M.E. Joe is the first Grand High Priest to come from our chapter in its 174 year history! His appointed officers whom are also from La Porte #15 are:

Dennis Meyer - Grand Chaplain
Larry Williams - Grand Guard
Jim Dove - Grand Marshall
Dion Diakis - Assistant RARA Director
Joe Pask - Grand Master of 3rd Veil
Steve Snyder - Royal Arch Deputy District A
Ron Garrison - Grand Communications Officer

They were installed last April (portraits just came in today 😆) and will work hard to make La Porte Chapter #15 proud!

Companions don’t forget that this evening is the District A Table Chapter at 6:00PM CST here at La Porte to raise money for the RARA. Our Most Excellent Grand High Priest of Indiana will be driving up all the way from Evansville to be in attendance with us! Suggested donation for the meal is $15.

I would like to personally thank my La Porte York Rite family for hosting the wonderful chili cookoff and silent auction to benefit my Grand High Priest Fund should I be elected to the office this coming April. Their generosity, support and love knows no bounds. God really knew what he was doing when he lit my path to this amazing group of men and their families 13 years ago! Thank you all for the ongoing support!

La porte York Rite and Acme Lodge has lost a long time heavyweight today as 95 year old Worshipful Brother, Excellent/Illustrious Companion and Sir Knight Bill Franks laid down his working tools to enter into that lodge above, that house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. Bill was just shy of his 52 year of dedication to the York Rite. Up until his last day on this earth he was driving himself to our meetings, and participated in degree work! What a loss to our York Rite and fraternity in general! God speed WB Bill, it’s now time to rest after such a successful and productive life of work, love, and laughter!
