🌿 Borde Du Lac Update 🌿

A big weekend up at the lake—spring is finally showing itself in full force.

* The ice is out and the lake is waking up again
* The natural spring is flowing strong and clear
* The boardwalk took a real beating this winter from the ice—sections heaved and shifted quite a bit
* Spent the entire weekend out there getting it back in shape and making repairs
* While fixing things up, we also set new dock sections into L-shaped sitting platforms—perfect spots for sunset watching, morning coffee, and loon watching
* Speaking of loons… they’re officially back and calling on the lake
* A curious chipmunk even found his way back into his old boardwalk home like nothing ever happened
* And big milestone moment… Noah is now driving

Lots of work, a few surprises, and a great reminder that lake season is just about here again.

This week the remaining docks will be fully put in, and we are excited to say we’re getting ready for the season ahead.

We look forward to seeing all our guests back up at Borde Du Lac soon! 🌅

✨ What a Year at Borde Du Lac Lodge ✨

As another incredible season comes to a close, we just want to say thank you — to every guest, friend, and family who made Borde Du Lac such a magical place again this year. 🌅 Your laughter, dock days, evening chats, and shared memories are what bring this place to life season after season.

We’ve been busy this fall getting ready for next year! 🍂
🚤 We’ve added more dock sections so there’s extra room to relax and take in those sunrise, sunsets, fishing and swimming adventures
🛠️ New trail markers are being updated
📺 Every cabin now has new TVs — Cable has officially been cut and gone full streaming
🛠️ Other upgrades coming as well!

We can’t wait to welcome you all back next season — for more mornings on the lake, evenings under the stars, and everything in between. 💙

It's been a very warm and colorful fall at Borde du Lac Resort.

We want to recognize and congratulate Tim and Robbie Douglas from Iowa. Their family has been visiting and making memories here over the past 55 years. This year they celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary with family and friends. Included were daughters Ashleigh (husband Joel), Kenzie (husband Bill, children Cash & Walker). and son AJ, (wife Courtney, children Hadley & Mila) & friends.

We are honored our freinds chose Borde Du Lac to celebrate.

The Docks Are In – Let the Season Begin! 🚤🌲

Today marks the official start of another unforgettable season on the lake – the docks are in and the sunshine is calling! ☀️ We couldn't be more excited to welcome returning guests and all who help make this little corner of northern Minnesota feel like home.

Something many people might not know is that our roots in the Leech Lake area run deep. We’re proud to be 3rd and 4th generation Mallory's who call this place home. Our family's journey here began back in the mid-1940s, when we owned one of the very first resorts on Leech Lake – Ottertail Point Resort – and ran a General Store in Walker into the early 1950s. It's been nearly 80 years of lake life, laughter, and legacy.

While we may not be your typical "weekend warrior" resort, what we offer is something unique – a peaceful, welcoming slice of paradise shared with those who appreciate the beauty of the Northwoods and the connection of community.

Thank you to our amazing friends, family, and loyal guests who continue to support us. Here's to making more memories on the water, around the fire, and under the stars. 🌅💙
