Las Vegas is sending a message to tourists: TIPPING IS NOT REQUIRED!
After disturbing reports of aggressive showgirl impersonators demanding money from tourists, Clark County is taking action by displaying warnings along the Las Vegas Strip.
Earlier this month, two showgirl impersonators were arrested after a $20 photo tip allegedly turned into a violent confrontation outside Planet Hollywood. According to police, one tourist was struck more than 22 times, including with a high-heeled boot.
Now, officials are reminding visitors that taking photos or watching street performances does NOT obligate anyone to tip. Anyone experiencing harassment is encouraged to contact police.
Has tipping on the Las Vegas Strip gotten completely out of control, or is this crackdown long overdue?
