Kassi Beach Club is a Coastal, Italian Restaurant, Bar, and Lounge. Located just off the Virgin Las Vegas Hotel Pool, Kassi Beach serves lunch and dinner every day and hosts a party brunch Saturdays and Sundays on weekends. Our kitchen serves artisanal Neapolitan pizzas as well as house-made pastas reminiscent of Italy's seaside and island resorts. DJ lineups, cabana service, industry nights, and locals' nights round out the nightlife and day-life programming. Guests can spend the entire day at Kassi Beach - enjoying lunch and poolside cocktails, sunset and early supper, and an intimate, late-night party scene in a chic, exclusive, venue!
Position Summary:
The Steward position reports to Kassi Beach Club management and is responsible for performing basic cleaning and dishwashing responsibilities with others or individually. All duties are to be performed in accordance with SNHD, Kassi Beach Club, and Virgin Hotels policies, practices, and procedures.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (includes but not limited to):
Great team player with the ability to create excellent working relationships across the group. A collaborative approach with all departments
Candidates must be able to lift 50 pounds
Ensure that items are properly cleaned and stored
Strong knowledge and consistent use of SNHD regulations and standards
Communicate effectively with "Back of the House" staff
Must be able to work cooperatively and effectively in a team
Consistently maintains clean and safe work area for self and other team members
Strong communication skills to all team members.
Find solutions before problems arise.
Anticipate needs and over-deliver wherever possible
Candidates must think on their feet and use their initiative to solve problems and deliver solutions
Comply with all safety and health department procedures keeping kitchens clean, organized and sanitary
Organizing, plates and glass wear
Able to change direction and work on multiple project aspects at once as needed.
Mop stockrooms and report any hazardous situations to the kitchen or maintenance manager
Help Café replenishing and cleaning
Collect soiled dishes from dining areas and transport them to the kitchen
The work environment is noisy, must constantly receive and communicate information
Ability to bend, stoop, balance, and reach-ins necessary
The job requires lifting/carrying a max weight of 50lbs across an 8-hour shift
Execute proper health and safety protocols while operating equipment, handling food, storing food, maintaining temperature & time control logs, and sanitizing as dictated by the SNHD
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Current, legal, and unrestricted ability to work in the United States
High school or equivalent education required.
Food Service Handler Card and TABC certification that is currently valid for a minimum of at least 6 months
Preferred: 1-2 years' experience in a full-service restaurant or lounge
Ability to work a flexible schedule
