Here is a snapshot of a story by CBS about the sustainability efforts of Allegiant Stadium. We are proud to be a part of their efforts to eliminate recyclable materials going to the landfill. Our staff works hard at every event to make sure any recyclable material doesn’t end up in the compactor and our partnership with Las Vegas Livestock makes sure that the food is put to the best possible use.

Congratulations to our customers Resorts World Las Vegas on a successful grand opening. We are so excited to be their recycling partners. We have been recycling their cardboard and food since April during the construction, but now we are ready to ramp up. Together we will reach high diversion rates!

All recyclable materials entrusted to COMBS are sold, processed, or otherwise transferred to local, reputable, licensed and permitted facilities right here in Clark County, NV.

Six men have been charged with running a recycling fraud scheme that trucked tons of trash from Las Vegas casinos into California in order to collect state redemption money.

Our office manager, Edna, is celebrating her 2 year anniversary with COMBS. We are happy to have her be a part of the team. Every account we have is customized, and Edna is able to keep everything organized and get our invoices out correctly. Not only does she handle our book keeping, but she also helps to schedule the driver's routes. COMBS is lucky to have her. It is also a special day because of International Women's Day. Edna is just one of the many women that keep the business running and our customers happy. Thank you to all the women in our company!

Food waste continues to be a huge problem when it comes to battling climate change. We are happy to be part of the solution in Las Vegas, and help our customer reduce their impact on the environment. It isn't the easiest or cheapest thing to do which is why we appreciate our customer's commitment to their food scrap recycling programs.

Food waste creates more greenhouse gases than the airline industry. But there are several ways to fix that, starting with your shopping habits.

Today marks a 14 year partnership with JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa. It is great to have long term relationships with our recycling partners. Even though we have spent many years at the recycling dock, COMBS has not gotten complacent. JW started recycling their food scraps in 2020. It is great to have LV Resorts committed to reducing their impact on the environment even when COVID-19 has been challenging on these businesses. JW was also generous to host a pumpkin recycling site open to the public to keep pumpkins out of the landfill and to feed the pigs on Las Vegas Livestock. It is great to reflect on how far we have come together.

This is a nice video about what corporations can do about reducing their food waste. The MGM's VP of Corporate Sustainability shares his experience with MGM properties and all that they do to reduce food waste. COMBS is proud to play a small roll helping their efforts. Mandalay Bay is the one location where COMBS and LVL recycle the food scraps to be feed for livestock.

Prior to COVID-19 we were serving over 30 million restaurant meals and 6 million banquet meals a year. Yalmaz Siddiqui, MGM’s Vice President of Corporate Sustainability, shares our food waste management best practices with an audience of meeting planners during a TEDx Talk.
