Our Story
Wisteria Bed and Breakfast is located on tree canopied North Fifth Avenue at Seventh Street and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Wisteria was built in 1901 for Silas W. Gardiner and his wife Louisa. He was one of Laurel's founding fathers and one of the owners of Eastman-Gardiner Lumber Company, Laurel’s largest and most successful lumber company.
The Lauren Rogers Museum of Art is located on the opposite corner and the Rogers Green House is located next door to Wisteria.
Wisteria is located in the heart of the historic district near restaurants, parks, shopping, city hall, churches and The Laurel Little Theatre. A southern gourmet hot breakfast is prepared and served each morning.
Each of the three beautifully appointed suites have king beds (king bed and single bed in one) with Egyptian cotton linens, large flat-screen HDTV with cable, high speed Wi-Fi (house wide), central air/heat, air conditioning unit, ceiling fan, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, private bath with tub and shower. A veranda and court yard are available to guests. The Laurel bricks on the courtyard were filmed for the Home Town pilot for HGTV.
