Check out this AirBnB in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, in the heart of bourbon country!!! We're Chris and Tammy from Waterloo, Illinois and we absolutely love bourbon and traveling to the Bourbon Trail! We explore distilleries, do barrel picks, and enjoy all of the laid-back goodness and friendliness that Kentucky has to offer! Chris loves organizing group trips to Kentucky and loves exploring different

towns in Kentucky. From finding the best bourbon bars to planning the distillery tours, Chris has done it all and loves sharing his passion with others! We own a brewery in our hometown of Waterloo, Illinois and have labeled ourselves as "a brewery with a bourbon problem". We're taking our "bourbon problem" one step further, and purchased a home in the heart of bourbon country! We wanted to get in the AirBnB/VRBO business in Bourbon Country, and Lawrenceburg is the perfect town for our rental home! Lawrenceburg is conveniently located 5 minutes from Wild Turkey, 10 minutes from 4 Roses Distillery, 20 minutes to Woodford Reserve and 25 minutes from Buffalo Trace Distillery (talk about a GREAT location for doing the Bourbon Trail!!). It reminds us of our hometown of Waterloo, IL in that there is so much to do (parks, car shows, Food Truck Fridays, festivals, etc.) Lawrenceburg is located 1 hour East of Louisville, 40 minutes West of Lexington, and 5 hours from Waterloo, Illinois (near St. Louis, MO). If you're traveling to the bourbon trail, especially with a group, this is the perfect place for you to stay. We would love to host you!

If you want to take a break from bourbon hunting...try TROLL HUNTING! About an hour away from our house near Clermont, KY is the Bernheim Arboretum Forest and there are several Trolls made by Thomas Dambo, the Danish artist. He has trolls "hidden" all over the world that are made of recycled wood.

Pictured is Ibbi Pip, who is in New York and hangs birdhouses all over the forest.

If you're in the Bernheim Arboretum Forest area and do want to do bourbon related things, Jim Beam and 4 Roses Aging and Bottling Facility are close by.

Since Chris and I live 5 hours away from our House of Bourbon, it is SUPER important to us that we have a great team that can help manage the day to day operations with the house. Thankfully, we have the PERFECT person for that...Desi! Desi has been working with us since Day 1 and we are so lucky to have her! She handles the cleaning between guests (we always get compliments on how clean the place is), makes sure we have enough coffee, water, supplies, etc., and watches over the house for us.

There's a lot that that goes into keeping a house with guests coming and going clean and ready for the next guests. While I (Tammy) manage reservations and communications with guests, Desi is literally our boots on the ground at the house making sure that all goes smoothly. We are so lucky to have her on our team!

Lawrenceburg has several Mexican restaurants, but our current favorite is Licho’s Mexican Kitchen!!! It's 5 minutes from our house, VERY AUTHENTIC, has great and fast service, and you can sit outside on their back deck to eat!!!
