Hey there!! Are you ready to plan an AMAZING trip to the North Cascades? We are known as the “American Alps”, these never-ending jagged peaks will fill your soul and awaken your sense of adventure! You are sure to find something here that everyone in your group will LOVE.

North Cascades are a place unlike any other- and somewhere you will talk about for years to come. With magnificent glaciers, spectacular wildflower covered mountains, and glimmering alpine lakes!!

There is so much to do!! You may have already looked at a map and been a little overwhelmed! We are surrounded by National Forest, which includes some of the best views ever! Take a day trip to Lake Chelan that derives its name from a Chelan Indian word meaning “deep water” the 55-mile long lake reaches a depth of 1,486 feet (453 m)

We are located just outside Leavenworth, a charming Bavarian-themed German village in Washington’s Cascade Mountains, Leavenworth is home to great festivals, cultural attractions and warm hospitality. The lovely Front Street Park is the heartbeat of Leavenworth, offering beautiful green areas within a close proximity to shops and entertainment.

You do not have to go far from downtown Leavenworth to find an oasis of serenity and lush nature. Just downhill from Commercial Street, you will find one of the best-kept Leavenworth secrets - Waterfront Park. Follow the path that trails along the cool Wenatchee River, shaded by the quiet, dense forest. You can just sit on one of the many benches, enjoy the peaceful views and feel the stress melt away.

The spring is the perfect time for birdwatching, and the fall is when the salmon make their arduous journey upstream. All along the river you will find small beaches, perfect for a quick dip in the Summer. The entire trail is about three miles of easy hiking.

About 16 miles from downtown Leavenworth, you will find the trailhead for the Icicle Gorge Trail, a well-travelled, popular trail in the magnificent Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. Hiking this easy trail is a great way to spend a day enjoying the breathtaking beauty of the Icicle Creek Valley. The trail offers fantastic views of Icicle Gorge, the turbulent and rapid Icicle Creek and the surrounding mature forest filled with birds and wildlife.

The trail follows the creek on both banks, one fairly bare and other densely forested. There is a small bridge about half way, a perfect spot to enjoy the view and take some great photos. The entire loop takes about three hours and even kids will find it fun.

Since 1982, Leavenworth Ski Hill has been a central location for winter activities in the area. Families flock here for the affordable, and sometimes free, activities and events. Other than skiing and snowboarding, guests can snowshoe, enjoy the only ski jump on the west coast, or visit the Lt Michael Adams Tubing Park for some tubing fun! The extensive interconnected trails combined with modern facilities make for a world-class Alpine and Nordic experience.

Dating back to the 1800s, Mountain Springs Lodge is steeped in family heritage and rich tradition, making it a centerpiece to the pristine natural beauty that surrounds it. Retaining the panoramic view of the high Cascades and the openness of the vast meadows around it, the lodge blends in with its environment. Visitors can enjoy themselves by relaxing at the lodge for a nice meal or a drink, walking through the meadows, horseback riding through the forest groves, or hiking through the wilderness trails. Try out the Zip-lines as well for an adrenaline filled experience!

Two miles down the road from Knotty Pine Retreat starting in downtown Plain the Plain Valley Nordic Ski Trails is a cross country ski trail system with over 16,000 miles of groomed cross country skate and ski trails. Out in the vast open skies, visitors get an amazing view of Plain Valley as well as the opportunity to go snowmobiling, sledding, tubing, sleigh riding or ice skating. Events and activities such as snowmobiling tours, wine tastings, and a backcountry ski camp are also on offer.

Another magical place to visit are the Enchantment Lakes with crystal blue lakes and flowing creeks atop a naturally created alpine environment shaped by glaciers, the wind and waters, Enchantment Lakes are truly enchanting. Witnessing the natural beauty is no easy feat, visitors who are interested will have to hike at least seven miles at a 4,400 foot elevation to reach the very first lake in the Upper Enchantments.

There are many trails that could lead visitors depending on whether they prefer a day hike or an overnight hike - overnight permits are necessary for the latter. Common trails include Snow Lakes or Stuart Lake trailheads and guides are available for those who prefer one.

We could keep going & going about all the activities and adventures in the area!! Check us out and BOOK your next vacation with us!!

Leavenworth is widely known for its magical holiday season (rightfully so!). Others know the Icicle Valley for its incredible summer sunshine that brings long days, excellent hikes, and the refreshing coolness of the Wenatchee River. But what about sweet ol’ springtime? We’d be remiss if we didn’t fill you in on all of the joys you can experience during spring in Leavenworth.

We've racked up a few of our favorite activities, places, and eats for your springtime enjoyment! There's always more good to go around in our neat little town, but we wanted to start you off with a few tried-and-true suggestions.

Watch the Babies of the Refuge: By late spring, we start to see new life teeming about the refuge. Spotted fawn take wobbly steps that soon turn into awkward sprints around the banks of the high-water channel out back, ducklings float behind their mother duck, and eventually, the mama black bear brings her cubs to the end of the refuge where they play on the logs and forage for berries. Grab your binoculars and keep a keen eye out! Plan an afternoon patio picnic (a wildlife stakeout, if you will)

Bike or Drive the “Fruit Loop:” The Fruit Loop is a road that starts in Leavenworth just off of Highway 2 and weaves through the surrounding cities (Dryden, Peshastin, and Cashmere). It makes for an excellent biking route, but can also be driven if you’re more comfortable in the car. There are beautiful views, plentiful orchards brimming with blossoms in the springtime, and old historical sites (see if you can spot the train station, the old cemetery, and the original "downtown" Peshastin from the 1920s).

Check out Maifest: The second weekend of May is a big celebration each year in Leavenworth, as our little Bavarian town celebrates its roots! There is a Maipole ceremony, traditional Bavarian outfits and instruments are featured, and a giant parade of beautiful Bernese Mountain Dogs kicks off the celebration!

Try Out the Bikes: Grab a bike (multiple places to rent in town), a helmet, and hit the road! It’s perfect weather to enjoy a bike ride into & around downtown Leavenworth. Take a bike ride up the Icicle Valley and along the river, pull over for a picnic by the water.

Taste the Flavors of Spring: The city of Leavenworth hosts the pear-tacular “Spring Sensations” festival every spring to usher in the fresh flavors of the new season. You can find pear on many menus and in all sorts of treats – pear caramel, pear cider, pear glaze
find the “pearfect” spring flavor all around Leavenworth!

Hike the Peshastin Pinnacles: You might have spotted the unique rock formation of tall crags while driving Highway 2 into Leavenworth from the east. Those are the Peshastin Pinnacles, and spring is the perfect time to give them a try! Due to their southwestern exposure, the Pinnacles are often too hot to hike in the summer.

Take a Wine Hike!: Traditional hiking not your thing? Take a wine hike! Let me say that again: Wine. Hike. You can enjoy the beautiful spring weather while walking the vineyards and orchards of the picturesque Icicle Ridge Winery. Enjoy a lunch in the shade catered by Smokeblossom. Wine Hikes begin happening in June...grab your spot!

Bird Fest: When you think of majestic wildlife, do you picture our avian friends? Spring is a great season for birdwatching in the Icicle Valley, and the city of Leavenworth wants to equip you with lots of tools, knowledge, and fun! Visit the website for Leavenworth Spring Birdfest to signup and get more information about all of the great activities they have scheduled!

Zip Lining: Looking for a bit of adventure this spring?! Head out to Mountain Springs Lodge for a zip lining tour that will give you an adrenaline rush, amazing views, and unforgettable memories. The guides are top notch - in humor and knowledge - and they have set up an incredible course! First timers and zip-lining-regulars alike will consider it a day well-spent.

Sit on a Patio in town: Enjoy the sunshine and the mountain views before it gets too warm out and the summer crowds swarm the town! Some of our favorite spots with great outdoor patios!

If anyone ever tells you Leavenworth is for the birds, well, they’re kind of right – particularly in the spring. In early May Leavenworth celebrates Maifest (May 7-9), a German tradition dating back to the 10th century celebrating the arrival of spring and the raising of a “maipole” as tradition. Spring also sees the annual Birdfest kick off, and this year promises to be memorable. The Birdfest is the perfect opportunity for nature lovers to “flock” together to celebrate the return of the region’s migratory birds in a truly spectacular atmosphere of blooming wildflowers.

Listen to an expert keynote speaker, take the family on a nature walk or teach the young ones about their natural surroundings in this event promoting “the awareness of environmental and conservation issues surrounding the area’s birds"

We have availability starting the end of February through the Summer!! We are located 15 miles outside of downtown Leavenworth and in the heart of Plain Valley... we have EVERYTHING an outdoor enthusiast could imagine and also the quiet seclusion that you may also desire.

There’s nothing like a hearty “prost” to welcome spring. That’s why the Leavenworth Ale-Fest is one of the year’s most anticipated events. After nearly a decade, this annual beer festival attracts the region’s best breweries and food vendors, all set in the iconic Leavenworth Festhalle. Eat, drink and be merry – all for a good cause. The festival raises money for the Icicle Center for the Arts, a very important part of the Leavenworth community!

With all the excitement and celebrating on downtown we have the perfect getaway and relaxing location for your next family vacation, couples retreat, girlfriends weekend or boys weekend... or just an intimate escape!!

Fun fact: Leavenworth grows more deluxe organic pears than anywhere else in the nation. So if you’re accustomed to saving those gold-wrapped beauties for your holiday gift baskets, you’re missing out on prime pear season. Around April, you’ll be able to taste the nation’s best Bartlett and Bosc pears in all forms – sliced into tarts, used in fine artisan chocolates, and even mixed into cocktails.

Leavenworth has pears aplenty, but the decadent fruits aren’t the town’s only claim to culinary fame. At the much-anticipated Taste Leavenworth event in April, you’ll have a chance to take a nibble – or a plateful – of the village’s most famous culinary creations. No trip to Leavenworth is complete without a sizzling bratwurst, homemade pear strudel, area wines and locally made meats and cheeses. Alefest is also in April, with over 20 microbrews, Northwest bands and delicious food!! So plan your vacation accordingly.

We still have availability starting the end of February and through the Summer!!
