Traffic will be a heavy thru Chumstick I am sure. But it gives you the opportunity to stop at Plain Hardware for a coffee

HEADS UP, LEAVENWORTH-AREA TRAVELERS! US 2 is CLOSED just west of Leavenworth from milepost 85* to 99 today (July 13) through Thursday evening, July 16.

WHY: Remember when the December floods washed away several sections of the road in this area? Our contractors completed that work ahead of schedule to get US 2 open again, but we have to come back to make permanent repairs. This requires a four-day full closure.

*LOCAL TRAVELERS: There is a closure barrier at milepost 85, but eastbound local travelers can access the road up until milepost 95. Travelers trying to reach Leavenworth from the west should take the Chumstick Highway detour.

WESTBOUND TRAVELERS: Detour onto Chumstick Highway at MP 100.

EASTBOUND TRAVELERS: Use SR 207 to Chumstick Highway at MP 85.
