Big Bear River Resort offers primitive tent sites, RV sites with electricity (water and dump stations on-site) and clean, comfortable cabins for rent. Rent a canoe, raft, kayak or tube from us to enjoy a leisurely float on the gorgeous Niangua River. On weekends we whip up delicious comfort food at our concession stand on the gravel bar and breakfast Saturday mornings at Mama Bear's Mini Mart. Snacks, drinks, firewood and select camping supplies are also available for purchase.

We no longer offer a 5 mile float. For the 5 mile we put in at NRO and took out at Big Bear. We are no longer allowed to do that. We will put in at Bennett public access and take out at Barclay public access for a 6 1/2 mile float. We still have the 8 mile float and mile and a half float. This video might be confusing to people who do not understand NRO has a campground and then they also have a small area next to my property where they take out boats. The incident that caused us to no longer be able to put in at NRO happened at this takeout area. I will make another video when there’s no cars there to make it easier for everyone to see. I want to put the word out for Big Bear customers to not park or try to take out at NRO rendezvous point. Big Bear take out is just around the corner on the river.

My granddaughter floated last weekend. A butterfly landed on her hand. She put her other hand over it to shield it from the rain and it stayed.
She came back and took off her life jacket and it still stayed. She put it on a tree when they got ready to leave and it flew away. I told her her butterfly shirt attracted him. ❤️❤️ ❤️
