The Route 66 Band is gearing up to go to the Munger Moss Motel in Lebanon, MO. for Bob Lehmans Birthday Bash Oct.13th 2018. We have a new PA board and a new bass player. Bob and Ramona have always supported us and we support them as well. Please come out and support the US 66 Band and the Route 66 Billboard Association and help this event keep on happening every year.

It was so nice of Barbara from Gay Parita to stop in and visit.. When you travel this highway called the Mother Road , always stop in at Gay Parita , and visit with her.. She has made that place look so beautiful... continued what her Father had started.

Today the building that replaced the Munger Moss Restaurant was cleaned out. In the mid 90's a local person bought the restaurant.. he was going to remodel it, but in tearing off the roof, they found water, and under the next layer more, water. So he had to demolish the whole building. He rebuilt, and when it opened he leased it to a church... so for a few years there were church services there. Then they leased it to the Lebanon R III
school system.. and they have been in that building till now. The
school offices are now downtown, in what was Commerce Bank.
I'm posting this for a reason. This end of town is slowing dying. What was the Holiday Motel... was torn down... The Forest Manor motel has been closed by the health department. A few years ago what was a fantastic restaurant, and loved by Route 66 er's (the Bell) was bought after the owner died, and tore down, with nothing replacing it.
At one time this end of town was called little Las Vegas, with all our neon lights... Wrink's has put their lights up again, but the motels, the bowling alley... no neon lights.
This building is for sale, I presume... or lease... would make a
fantastic Route 66 restaurant... I think... We need something on this end of town.. Does anybody out there have a big, big
dream????????????

In the past few weeks, we have had new wi-fi installed... have a new supplier which gives us about 75 megas?? This morning a guest stated that she sure liked our wi-fi.....Stated that it was better than that what was in the big hotels.. etc. Also we now have security cameras located throughout the motel. So glad that we spent some more money...ha.

This belongs on the Munger Moss page.. Love it.. it shows the true Route 66 family enjoying an evening doing what they love. Love each and every one of you. We will do this next year.... right??
