We’ve got something special on the counter today: our signature Ham & Cheese Scones, made entirely from scratch. These aren't your average dainty pastries—we’re talking large, chunky, rustic scones packed with flavor and heart.

The secret? We’re using savory, tender ham from our very own home-raised pigs. They are golden, crusty on the outside, and perfectly soft on the inside.

Happy Mother’s Day from the farm! 🌸🐴

People always ask what a farm Mom does on her "day off," and the answer is usually: taking care of the fur babies, of course! While the rest of the world might be doing brunch, I’m out here leaning into the homestead life and making sure everyone is hydrated and happy.

I’m currently working on a little DIY project—turning an old mineral tub and a spare float into an automatic watering bucket. It’s the perfect way to upcycle what we already have on hand to make sure the animals have fresh water all day long. 🛠️💧

There’s no place I’d rather be than right here with my crew (even if they are a little demanding!). Sending love to all the Moms—fur, feather, or human—out there today. I hope your day is as wonderful as this South Georgia sunshine!

The oven hasn't had a moment's rest this morning! There is nothing quite like the smell of fresh bread and cookies wafting through the house to kick off a busy weekend.

We have guests arriving today! I’m staying busy getting all their pre-ordered pantry items ready—from farm-fresh eggs to their favorite baked goods—so everything is waiting for them the moment they get settled in for the weekend.

Out with the old and in with the new! 🤠🌬️

The living room just got a much-needed upgrade. The old ceiling fan had finally seen its last days, so it was the perfect excuse to find something that actually fits the western theme we’ve got going on.

It’s amazing how much a small change can pull a room together! The new fan not only works perfectly to keep the space cool and comfortable, but it looks like it was always meant to be here. It’s the perfect addition to the "Horse Motel" vibe. 🐴✨

Persistence pays off—the greenhouse is officially finished! 🛠️🌿

It was a bit of a waiting game for a while; the kit was missing an all-important part, so I had to put the whole project on hold until it finally arrived in the mail. But it’s here, it’s installed, and the structure is finally complete!

My next task is building the racks to hold all my seedlings and I can’t wait to finally get this space into use and watch everything start to grow. 🍅🌸

Sometimes, "pretty" just doesn't cut it when it comes to farm life! 🛠️🐴

I spent some time in the barn today giving the doors a much-needed upgrade. While the original handles looked nice, they were definitely a case of "fashion over function." The locks looked like loose screws, and if you turned them just a little too far, the whole handle would come loose in your hand—not exactly the experience I want for our guests or for myself!

I’ve swapped them out for something much more practical that still keeps that rustic decor we love. They feel sturdy, they work perfectly, and I can finally stop worrying about them!

The best part? I stumbled across these adorable little horse head handles for the closet door and simply couldn't resist. They are the perfect finishing touch for the barn! ✨

It’s the little details that make this place feel like home.

The wait is over! After all the taste-testing (and plenty of sampling from Andy), our Cookie Flavor Flight is officially complete. We are so excited to share these farm-fresh flavors with you.

As a special thank you for staying with us, each guest will now receive a complimentary Flavor Flight to enjoy during their visit! It’s the perfect way to sample a little bit of everything we’ve been working on in the kitchen.

Oatmeal Raisin: Hearty, classic comfort.

Tonight’s "tuck-in" service for the horses came with a very tiny, very adorable surprise!

While finishing up the nightly rounds, I discovered that our barn cat has expanded the farm family. She gave birth to five perfect little kittens!

I am so pleased she felt comfortable enough to choose the warmth and safety of the barn to bring them into the world. There is nothing quite like the quiet of the barn at night, especially when it’s filled with the sound of tiny new mews.

Mama and all five babies are doing great, tucked away in a cozy spot where they can stay warm and protected. The farm just got a little bit busier—and a lot cuter!

The results are officially in, and the kitchen has finally quieted down after a very "intense" morning of deliberation! 🍋🏆

It was a incredibly close race, and our Official Farm Pantry Taste Tester took his job very seriously—so seriously, in fact, that most of the cookies have mysteriously disappeared! After much sampling (and re-sampling), we have a winner for the fourth and final spot in our Cookie Flavor Flight.

🥁 Drumroll please... 🥁

The winner is the Lemon Meltaway Cookie! 🥳✨

Andy loved the light, buttery texture and that bright, refreshing zing from our homegrown lemons. It’s the perfect citrus finish to our signature flight. These will be joining the Oatmeal Raisin, Cowboy, and Cappuccino cookies in the pantry starting next week!
