LSSC Brain Bowl The Lake-Sumter State College Brain Bowl Team Eligible members receive a $700 scholarship, just for being on the team and making the service hours. Matthew Wood.

Brain Bowl is an activity/competition where you answer trivia questions from college subject areas such as history, literature, humanities, mathematics, astronomy, biology, physics, art, government, geography, psychology, as well as current events. No one has to "know ALL the answers" - that's why we call it a "team" competition. You compete against other teams to test how well you know the subjec

t. Think of it as Jeopardy with teams. We have fun during practices and have even more fun during competitions. Our coaches/advisers are Mr. Scott Pierce and Mr. Both teach in the Science and Math building. We meet in the SM building every Monday at 3, in SM120, located in the office suites downstairs. Any questions? Maybe on how to join? Just either stop by or post on the wall. We will make sure to answer.

It is with much sadness that we have been informed of the passing of former player and student leader "Brownie." His presence will be missed immensely.

For Fall 2016 Brain Bowl is going to try to run practices on both campuses with enough student involvement. Currently looking like Tuesdays at 1pm in SM120 for Leesburg and Thursdays at 1pm in Bldg 1-114 or 117 for South Lake. Practices/Meetings will begin the week of Labor Day.

Hey LSSC Students! The Leesburg SGA is hosting the 2nd Annual Ghostly Gala! This haunted dance is open to all students, on every campus. Come visit the Magnolia Room on the Leesburg Campus from 7-10 pm for free food, drinks and dancing.
If your photogenic come try our FREE Photo Booth, take as many pictures as you'd like with your friends in your finest Halloween Attire.
The night will also feature a costume contest with fabulous prizes for the winners!
Once again, Students from South Lake, Sumter, and Leesburg are all welcome. Come get your booo-gie on, on the dance floor!
