There can never be too much art in our region. Congratulations to Jim Thorpe on launching this exciting new addition to the local arts scene. Our area is home to so many talented artists, and it's wonderful to see creativity being celebrated and supported.

If you love art, consider booking a weekend stay and exploring everything the area has to offer—from galleries and studios to the incredible talent that makes this region so special.

The Jim Thorpe Tourism Agency is pleased to announce the inaugural Fine Arts Festival to be held Saturday, August 22nd and Sunday, August 23rd from 11am to 6pm each day.

The event will feature a variety of artists and vendors exhibiting works in mediums such as oil paintings, watercolors, pastels, ceramics, photography, works in wood, fiber art, crafs, glass, and more.

In addition to the artists and vendors, enjoy music and a variety of food vendors.

With fresh strawberry season finally here, we decided to make a strawberries-and-cream oatmeal to celebrate. Cooked it with a cup of freshly diced strawberries, giving it an intense berry flavor and a beautiful pink color, a hint of vanilla and maple syrup. Then topped it with even more fresh strawberries, a splash of light cream, and a drizzle of maple syrup.

It was an incredible burst of flavor and the perfect way to start the morning.
