North Shore Lodge provides a round-trip boat launching service.

Enjoy the beautiful white sandy beaches and clear blue waters of Nebraska's Lake McConaughy (Big Mac) at North Shore Lodge - camping, RV park, rental units, convenience store, fuel, mobile home park, restaurant and lounge right on the water's edge. Our tractors can pick up your boat at your campsite, trailer or cabin and deliver you back when you're ready to come in for the day. CABIN/MOBILE HOME

RENTALS:
Enjoy a relaxing night's sleep after a day at the beach in one of our air-conditioned cabins or mobile home units. We'll supply the cooking utensils, the pots and pans and linens. Each unit also has a grill, picnic table, satellite TV and air conditioning. The lake is within a couple hundred yards from most of the cabin locations and they are within easy walking distance to the convenience store, restaurant & lounge. We have several cabins available which can accommodate one to ten people. Pets are welcome but must be on a leash at all times. An additional fee of $10.00 per day per pet is required. Our well-stocked convenience store offers most anything you might need for a great get-away. RESTAURANT:

** 100% Containment Achieved
Emergency personnel have determined that the largest fire in the history of the state of Nebraska is now 100% contained after consuming more than 642,000 acres.

As of this morning, temporary flight restrictions have been lifted for both fires. Incident aircraft are still actively operating in these areas, and we appreciate local aviators helping keep our crews safe by minimizing air traffic nearby.

Over the past week, our department has been actively responding to the Morrill Fire, and we want to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who supported us during this time.

We were fortunate to have an outstanding auxiliary team at the station who kept our crews fueled with meals, snacks, and drinks throughout long and demanding shifts. Your support made a real difference and kept our firefighters going.

We also want to thank the outside ambulance crews who staged at our station, as well as those who helped coordinate resources, set up facilities, and ensure everything ran smoothly during the response.

To all of the mutual aid departments, first responders, and community members who stepped up — thank you. Your teamwork, dedication, and support do not go unnoticed. - KLFD
