🤠Howdy, Folks!
Well, we made it back from Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg, Tennessee!

What a great getaway with some of our family🥰!

19 of us were able to go for a 4 day quick vacation. We stayed at an amazing air bnb with a beautiful view, went hiking, visiting Anakeesta, and more hiking to see waterfalls. We watched our kids & grandkids jump off a cliff into a river and all of them survived with no serious injuries! (We just weren't brave enough, this time.)

One of our vehicles got tore up by a bear...so, THAT happened, but after seeing more than a dozen bears up close and personal, I think we were very fortunate. The people down south are lovely, funny, and very welcoming. We found that the natural sites (free) were more fun than the attractions and we didn't have to wait in line😁.

We had some delicious food (thank you, kids), taste-toured Ol' Smoky Distillery and saw some scary-high scenery, drove on some scary-steep roads that had me covering my eyes, swam, played mini-golf, told stories on a big old wooden porch, listened to DJ Jason's playlists, heard some live country music and took tons of pictures and videos. Plus, Rich got to stop at Waffle House and Cracker Barrel for some of his favorite traveling food, so this trip was a big win!

Lessons learned:
*Even a loaf of bread in a double plastic bag, in a truck bed, under a tonneau cover WILL get found by a hungry mama bear.
*Debi needs to bring her knee braces along, always.
*Rich needs better hiking boots.
*Our family - Daughters, Son-in-Laws, Grandkids, significant others, etc. - are amazing people who love each other and are fun to hang out with, and we need to do it more often.💞

We're happy to be home and now look forward to hanging out with our RiverWood family! Drinks are cold, the music is hot, and the air conditioning is on in both the axe shed and the saloon!
See you soon!

Listening to our dear friends Steve Austin and Steven Rodriguez live, on WOCO radio station (FM 107.1) right now! Looking forward to seeing him here at RiverWood Saloon TOMORROW EVENING, Friday, 07/03, 6 - 10. Come on out for a great experience of bluegrass, folk and country music!

Our first open Jam Session is about to begin! It's a cool breezy summer night and I cannot think of a better way to spend the evening than to listen to a group of artists sharing their talents!
Come on out for this free event - open to everyone who wants to enjoy a good old-fashioned jam session!

Better yet, bring along your instrument and join in! Whether it is a stringed instrument, horn, percussion, woodwind or voice. You are welcome to share your talents with fellow musicians.

I know you all want to help support local businesses and talent so just stop on in! We've got room in the pavilion for a big crowd and it's early enough to get a good night's sleep before work on Monday so no excuses - come on out!

Do you like to play an instrument, sing or just listen to a group of music lovers sharing their craft? RiverWood is offering an opportunity for us to enjoy our first community Jam Session.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR LOCAL MUSICIANS TO JOIN IN ON A SUNDAY EVENING JAM SESSION THIS SUNDAY - JUNE 28TH - FROM 5 P.M. UNTIL ??? AT RIVERWOOD SALOON & CAMPGROUND.

This is not a paid event - just an opportunity for music lovers of all levels to share their talents, stories and music! Our dear friend, Steve Austin suggested that it might be fun to do some pickin' with other musicians and that an old-fashioned jam session might be fun. We agree! So make plans to bring your banjo, guitar, harmonica, fiddle, keyboard, voice, etc. - whatever you'd like to share. We would truly love to see a big group out here on a Sunday afternoon! Looking forward to experiencing the blend of talents our Up North area has to offer!

We plan to have it outside, but if the weather doesn't cooperate, the pavilion is ready to provide cover. Bring along your talents and instruments and let's re-create a community tradition that gave many local artists a way to share and develop their talents. This is an informal, come as you are get-together. Spectators are welcome.

CARRY IN BEVERAGES are NOT ALLOWED.

Please call Debi at 920-737-7766 with any questions. We can arrange for power if your instrument(s) need it. Just give us a heads up!

Thank you!
