Located on the beautiful 80 acre 60 foot deep all sports Sunrise Lake which offers great swimming with clear water and sandy beaches (our campground has 1400 feet of frontage) and a variety of fish. With 12,000 acres of state land a

cross the road, this 32 acre location is packed with great opportunities for hunting, fishing, hiking, biking, and relaxing. This weekend was a God-given gift. 🌕

After a rough stretch just a short time ago, this was exactly the reminder Adam and I needed of why we do this. Every face at Sunrise Lake was a happy one — and hearing people chatter around campfires that glowed through the dusk, watching the full moon rise over the lake… it refreshed both of us and honestly restored a little of our faith in humanity too.

Grateful doesn’t even cover it. Thank you to everyone who spent this weekend with us. 💛

Not every week at the campground looks like sunsets on the pontoon and s’mores by the fire pit. Some weeks are hard — hard conversations, hard decisions, and a reminder that running a small business takes more out of you than people see from the outside.

My son picked me this little cardinal flower down by the water, just to help me feel better after a hard week. I’m not saying that for sympathy — I’m saying it because most of you who come through this gate are just as generous, and weeks like this past one are the exception. We are so grateful for the support and encouragement we’ve gotten from you all, more than you probably know.

Still love this place. Still love this community. 🌊

FREE ORV WEEKEND is here! 🚨

August 15–16, Michigan State Parks is waiving ORV fees — and we’re sitting right on the trails, so you can ride straight from your campsite. 🌲

Quick reminders: stay on designated trails, helmets on, watch your speed through camp, and make sure your ORV is properly registered (fee waiver ≠ no registration).
