The best fall weekends leave room for each other. 🍂 We especially love how peaceful mornings feel at the inn once autumn arrives.

The house feels quieter, breakfast lingers longer, and guests rarely rush away from the table. Afterward, walk toward Lexington State Harbor or browse Angel’s Garden and Main Street Boutique.

Stop for dinner at The Windjammer or share something casual at Wimpy’s Place. Our three-day guide includes the places and experiences we’d recommend ourselves.

It also leaves enough room to follow your own pace. Early fall brings cooler evenings and a softer village rhythm without stretching your budget.

Which belongs in your fall weekend: harbor views, local shops, a cozy room, or dinner without checking the time?

Summer deserves an encore, and Lexington knows exactly how to play it. 🎻 The Lexington Bach Festival returns September 15–20 with performances across the village.

This year’s performers include Les Délices, Gabriel Martins, Konrad Kowal, and the Bach Festival String Quartet. Festival week changes Lexington’s rhythm in the best way.

You’ll hear guests discussing concerts over breakfast and spot musicians and concertgoers around town. We suggest leaving time between performances for the harbor, local shops, and an unhurried meal.

Then return here for a quiet night before the next concert. Festival weekends can fill up quickly, so choose your room before finalizing your plans.

Would you build your getaway around one concert or stay for several?

Summer is melting faster than your ice cream cone. 🍦 We can usually tell which guests spent the afternoon at the beach before they even reach Scoops.

They arrive wearing sandy shoes and with very little patience for choosing a flavor. We serve hand-dipped cones, sundaes, milkshakes, and old-fashioned malts right here on our grounds.

Guests often carry their treats through the gardens while soft 1970s music plays nearby. Those simple evenings have become one of our favorite summer rituals.

Come for one more scoop, then stay for a slower morning and breakfast at the inn.

See what we’re scooping: https://www.lexingtonhousebnb.com/scoops-lexington.

What’s your forever order: a waffle cone, sundae, shake, or malt?

When four friends call Lexington House their cozy weekend escape, we pay attention. ❤️ Katie, Lilah, Julie, and Nancy wrote that they “couldn’t have picked a better place to stay,” and that absolutely made our day.

They mentioned the clean, charming rooms, Donna’s warm welcome, and beds that felt like sleeping on clouds. We especially loved hearing that they felt cozy the moment they arrived. That’s exactly what we hope happens here.

Stop planning your getaway like it’s another work project. 🌊 Most guests park once, forget about the car, and explore Lexington at an easy pace after breakfast.

They walk downtown, browse The General Store and The Painted Paddle, then follow the breeze toward Lexington State Harbor. Our guide also includes the Lexington Village Theatre and plenty of nearby places to eat.

Stop for lunch at Wimpy’s Place or the Village Pub. Later, settle in for dinner at Steis’s Village Inn. We always suggest leaving part of the afternoon open because Lexington rewards wandering more than scheduling.

Need more room to actually relax? 🛏️

The French Country Room gives you space to slow down together, stretch out, and make the weekend last longer.

It’s our most spacious room, with a sofa, bistro table, balcony access, and a nearby coffee station. ☕

Summer is already moving too fast. 🌊 So here’s how we’d slow it down.

A romantic Michigan getaway needs lake air, local bites, quiet mornings, and time away from the inbox.

Our June blog shares how we’d plan a couple’s trip in Lexington, Michigan. Lake Huron days, small-town wandering, and unhurried time together. ☀️

Paulette’s review made our whole week. ❤️

First-time bed-and-breakfast stays are special, especially when they turn into “we’ll be returning” stays.

That’s what we love most here. Good conversations. Homemade breakfast. The easy walk to town, shops, restaurants, the theater, and the beach.

Thank you, Paulette, for trusting us with your first B&B stay. We’re so glad Lexington House gave you a reason to come back. 🏡✨

❤️ Have you ever stayed at a bed and breakfast? Tell us what made it memorable.
